Self care and self love matters!
Massive thank you to all who attended our Just concluded virtual seminar on Mental health & healthy living. It was a very interesting opportunity to dive into discussion about how our everyday activities affects our Mental health and wellbeing. The Seminar created a safe space for deep conversation on Health & Wellbeing as well as addressing the impact of intersectionality in achieving a healthy lifestyle. Thank you Chioma Linda Ogadah-Aleke and konate for such an amazing talk and practical tips shared towards a healthier lifestyle. Thank you.

Today was a super nice wrap up for the term with a movie night with pop corn, networking, happy moment for everyone.

It was awesome to have an amazing role model-Sonia as our Speaker last Friday speaking on the topic " How to Grow Success". It was amazing to see the connection and enthusiasm from the Children hearing from a Young person. Who was once in their shoes but has now grew in many area of success. Sharing practical examples and tips was it for me and all the children loved it. Thank you Sonia for such an amazing speech, the feedback was excellent! β€οΈπ₯

Dr Chioma Aleke is sessional GP within the Chester-le-Street primary care network. She is also involved in medical student teaching with Sunderland University.
She completed her undergraduate medical degree and foundation training in Nigeria before moving to the United Kingdom.
Her passion for preventive medicine led to her completing a Masters in public health in 2011 at Northumbria University, United Kingdom.
She then went on to work as a clinical tutor on the Keith B Taylor Global scholars programme, St George's International School of Medicine, Northumbria University campus until she went back to medical practice fully in 2016.
She worked as a Senior House Officer in various departments at South Tyneside General Hospital from 2016 to 2018. This was a trust basic surgical rotation involving rotations through Accident and emergency, Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU), General surgery as well as trauma and orthopedics.
In 2018, after completing the South Tyneside Trust basic Surgical training, she decided to train as a General Practitioner on a less than full time basis to meet up with family demands. She qualified as General Practitioner in December 2023.
Her interests include Medical education, lifestyle medicine and mental Health.
Her hobbies include fashion designing, cooking, and baking.
She is married with 3 lovely children aged 15,12 and 9 years.
It was an amazing family event today at Sunderland organised by Hudson Road Primary School. It was a great opportunity to network with Sunderland Community leaders and Stakeholders. We are so glad to be Invited and to have the opportunity to talk about our work and impact in the Community. π₯ π₯π₯
The Children had so much fun engaging with one another and we are so glad to see them leading all aspect of the session. So thrilled about the confidence and the impact in general. We are so glad in our effort in building great leaders of tomorrowπ₯.
It was an awesome experience to collaborate with the to empower women to become financially independent. I am deeply glad to lead such a powerful course that put smiles on the faces of so many women. I enjoyed every moment of the Course and an opportunity to make real difference in peoples lives. The impact was massive and I am glad to see the "Excellent" feedbacks received. Thank you for this amazing opportunity.

Women Celebrating Women (WCW)
Today we are celebrating an amazing Woman who is using her passion and expertise to make impact in the community.
Dr Tonti Ndubuisi is a General Practitioner (GP) based in the Northeast of England. She studied at Abia State University in Nigeria and qualified as a medical doctor in 2006. She completed her GP training under the Northumbria GP Vocational Training Scheme in 2015. Thereafter, she has obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2016. She has special interests in Womenβs Health, Diabetes and Men's Health.
Since her qualifications, Dr Tonti as she's popularly called returned to Nigeria to contribute to the healthcare system. Amidst the Covid pandemic and END SARs crisis in the country, she was able to establish a medical centre. She is the founder of RedDot Medical Centre in Lekki, Lagos.The centre provides medical and ambulance services within Lagos, Nigeria. She is a member of Doctors for Change in Nigeria- a group of Primary and Secondary Care Consultants who are working to improve the current healthcare system in Nigerian. She is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Dr Tonti supports various charity organisations in UK by promoting women's wellbeing via Health Education. She also supports her ethnic community of Ndi Igbo Northeast in their various activities.
Apart from Medical work, she supports her Husband in his businesses, she enjoys making wigs and is currently setting up a hair product line. The proceeds of which will be used to donate wigs to women with total hair loss due to cancer treatment.
She enjoys singing and a member of her local church choir at St Cuthbert's RC Church Kenton and the African Mass Choir. She also plays the african drums. She sews, enjoys graphic arts and photography.
She is happily married with 3 lovely children who she enjoys travelling with. It's notable to mention that she has managed to achieve all these whilst living with the children as her dear husband lives in Nigeria. She thinks maintaining a long distance marital relationship should go on her CV too.
Sharing these beautiful pictures from I AM BLACK conference which was held in Glasgow on the 29th of April . It was really an eventful one and inspiring experience to witness .
The theme for the conference was Symbiosis and it was amazing to see this theme manifest on the day as a lot of black people and professional were in attendance π₯.

Chisom Olisa is from Nigeria. She is a wife and mother. A registered Nurse, Midwife, and Public Health Nurse in the United Kingdom, United States, and Nigeria. She holds a degree in Nursing.
Her experience includes working in a family planning clinic, where she provided counseling to women on family planning and healthy living. Additionally, she has been involved in a puberty clinic, offering health education to young girls to help them understand their sexuality.
Currently, she works with an NHS Trust, where she not only support and advocate for patients but also assist international colleagues who are new to the hospital, providing advice to create a healthy and thriving work environment.
She is a lover of impact and loves volunteering for good cause πππ

Koura Konate is an Entrepreneur and Distributor at Forever living Product. ( She is also a Certified Heal Your Life Teacher Base on Louise Hayβs Philosophy.
Coming from a French-speaking country, She learned English at Newcastle College.
Through positive thinking, affirmations, and self-love, she has transformed her well-being and encouraging others to do so too.
She is passionate about supporting , uplifting and empowering others .
