Well it’s finally out of the bag!

Thank you to everyone who came to our launch today for our new project, The Rainbow Guide.

This SEND directory is your yellow pages to guide you on your journey when your child receives a diagnosis so you don’t get lost in the wilderness of SEND.

It contains different organisations, grants, funding and information that is invaluable to parents carers across the city.

This will be rolled out within the hospital, family hubs and other organisations across the city so that when your child receives a diagnosis or you need more information, this is your starting point.

We thank everyone who is part of the guide and if you’d like any further information please message us. Also thanks to Gentoo and Sunderland Parent Carer Forum for helping to fund this project.

Hello my friend! Are you ready to learn about a super cool fruit called the apple? Let's dive right in!
First things first, did you know apples can be different colours? That's right! They can be red, green, or yellow. Apples are usually round, with a little stem on the top that you can hold. When you take a big bite, you'll find out that apples are crunchy and juicy. They taste sweet, but sometimes they can be a bit tart too.
Now let's chat about how awesome apples are for our bodies! They have lots of fibre, which helps our tummies feel full and keeps everything running smoothly inside. Plus, apples are packed with Vitamin C that helps keep us healthy and strong.
There are so many ways to enjoy apples! You can munch on them as a snack, or cut them into slices and dip them in peanut butter or yoghurt. Yum! You can also add apple slices to salads, put them on top of porridge or pancakes, or even bake them into super tasty treats like apple pie, apple crumble, or apple muffins.
Want to know a secret? When you slice an apple in half from the top down, you'll see the core right in the middle, and that's where the seeds live. The yummy part that we eat is called the flesh, and it's all around the core.

Collaborating with Young Talent: Tharani Maria Joins Forces with TeenyWeenyVR to Enrich VR Learning Experiences for SEND Children

Innovate UK's awarded project TeenyWeeny VR TM Tones

TeenyWeenyVR is excited to announce a collaboration with the remarkably talented 13-year-old musician, songwriter, composer (channel TM Tones), and TEDx speaker Tharani Maria. This partnership aims to enhance the immersive learning experiences provided by TeenyWeenyVR for children with special educational needs (SEND) by incorporating Tharani Maria's exceptional musical abilities and inspiring speeches into our platform.

Tharani Maria's impressive background includes receiving the prestigious Mary Stone Academic Scholarship, having her work published in three UK books, performing classical ballet and classical Indian dance since the age of 3, playing chess at national level, and participating in water polo (school captain) and swimming at district level. With her passion for helping children learn and develop through innovative technology, Tharani Maria is an ideal collaborator for TeenyWeenyVR.

Vijayalakshmi Subramani, the founder of TeenyWeenyVR, shared her enthusiasm for the partnership: "We are thrilled to be partnering with Tharani Maria, a multi-talented young person who shares our passion for using technology to improve education and the lives of children with special needs. With Tharani Maria's creative input, we believe we can take our immersive learning experiences to the next level."

TeenyWeenyVR's unique approach combines entertainment, education, and visit preparation through immersive VR technology. Our 360-degree videos of local tourist destinations help prepare SEND children for real-world visits, reducing anxiety and building confidence. The engaging VR experiences provide an immersive and interactive way for the whole family to learn and have fun together.

Tharani Maria's creative input and expertise in music, public speaking, and other talents will be utilized to enhance TeenyWeenyVR's existing learning experiences and develop new, engaging, fun, and informative experiences for children with SEND.

SEND children often finds difficult to attend parties and lacks attention in the classroom. We bring fun-based VR edutainment through TeenyWeenyVR to enhance the learning experience of SEND children.

Our content creation shoot with Eileen & Joe Children's Entertainers went very well today. Puppets spoke about Toymaker, Animals of the world, You are what you eat, I am alive - animals etc.,

Our VJ (Vijayalakshmi Subramani) had a great time at Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre capturing the flying demonstration in VR for our Innovate UK funded project . VJ captured Eurasian eagle-owl (largest of owl species), falcon, barn owl, hawk, great grey owl, African eagle, red kite in 8K quality - which we believe that it will be an awesome experience for children when they watch it on a VR-headset.
