We are here today until lunch time if anyone wants to come take a look at or collect anything … toys are just pay what you want/can to help in us in the closing costs of the cafe as we now no longer have anyone to take over the lease and will be paying all rent/fees until we do 🥰

Wow what a busy and emotional day today … last one open and just a birthday party to finish us off on Sunday 🥰

We got more lovely gifts… a homemade dinosaur thank you card off Charlotte & Opie and a gorgeous Lush bath bomb gift set for me and Jazzy off Rachel, Libby, Mable, Helen, Millie & Henry … thank you all so so much - we are going to really miss you guys 😘

These beautiful flowers were given to me earlier in the week by some lovely regulars and all their amazing little toddlers … made me cry 🥰

On a side note: we don’t have anyone to take over the lease yet, so I might just squeeze in some character visit sessions with our hero girl pup 🐶 watch this space 🤩

What a lovely busy morning we’ve had today, absolutely loved seeing all the children running around, dressing up and having fun playing with the toys 🤩

If you missed my Facebook live on Monday - here is the announcement 🥰 we are closing our doors on Friday 26th January at 2pm 🦄

Unfortunately we were declined our planning application to change the business use of the building and because of that we are now unable to open the Doggy Daycare as planned. After assessing the financial status of the business against the outgoings, we have realised that it is not financially viable for us to remain open as just a cafe.

As many of you know I have been working 6 (sometimes 7) days per week on a volunteer, as well as topping up the business bank account with approximately £1,000 just to cover the bills - it’s just not possible for me to do this anymore. I have also had my amazing family coming in working for free too, which isn’t possible long term.

It’s been a really hard decision and we as a family are truly devastated, especially after the blood, sweat and tears we have all put into it since February 2023.

We are so sad that we will be saying goodbye to so many fantastic people and children in the community - you have made the last 6 months amazing and we will cherish the memories we have made with you all 🤩

But for now, we are working behind the scenes with the landlord and a new tenant who will be taking over the property. Once we have anymore news to share I will pass it on through this page, up until the day we close.

We have lots of kitchen equipment that we will be selling and all of the toys in the plays rooms are available on a pay what you can basis - please feel free to call in weekdays between 10:30-2pm if there is anything you want to look at. Ideally things will be available to take from Monday 29th January as we have a birthday party on the Sunday and we want to have the toys and equipment still in place to make their party as normal as possible 🎈

Don’t forget we are hosting this forum on Tuesday - why not call in and help shape the future of maternity and neonatal services in the area 🥰

EDIT 2: By the amount of requests received I think it's safe to say they're all gone! I'll contact everyone who ordered an item this weekend and will give all details (collection date and payment method).

In the next few weeks we're also going to replace our party tables and chairs.
We've got 4 toddlers tables (2 blue, 2 pink) and 16 toddlers chairs (8 pink, 8 blue) all from IKEA.
They've been well used but are still in very good condition. £2 per chair (£15 new) and £5 per table (£29 new).
