Sadly we have taken the decision to close for the rest of today due to more planned protests in the city centre. Our main priority is to try and get closed as soon as possible as our customer and staff safety will always come first.

He’s the main man who will really go that extra mile and look after you during your visit.
He’s known from the names David, Davey Liu or even Mr Chow🤣.

It’s very rare you’ll join us without this man there as he is a full blown workaholic!

He’s been working in the same building since the 1980’s, in which he then took over and had the famous ‘Ming Dynasty’. And to where we are now with Aperitif coming up to nearly 6 years!

He’s a lover for his food, his favourite dish here is either a ribeye steak or a seafood pasta! 🥩 🍝

And his go to drink would be a good Bloody Mary or a pint of fosters 🍹 🍺

This man never stops to keep the business running and deserves some credit and appreciation, thank you boss ! 🧡

Meet John Carlo, the newest addition to our team, who has joined us as HEAD CHEF !

We’ve known JC for quite some time now and to realise he is now running our kitchen is a dream come true, known his work attitude and personality.

John comes from a family of talented chefs. He himself has had over 15 years of experience in the industry - from big restaurants to hotels to small businesses like us. Oh and I forgot to mention his lecturing job within catering for Newcastle college and placement shifts for universities, this man’s got it all to lead our kitchen into the modern gastronomy.

Make sure you come say hi on your next visit and give him a warm welcome. We’re so excited for the future ahead! 🧡
