Learners must be aged 19+ and living in South Tyneside or Sunderland. If you're interested in joining the adult course send the page a DM or email [email protected]

We would like to remind our learners that GCSE results for the summer exams will be available this Thursday, 22nd August 2024, in the main reception between 10:00 am and 12 noon.

As always, our staff will be available on the day to discuss the results and offer support if needed. We are looking forward to seeing each and every one of you on the day!

Springboard engagement team attended Biddick Academy for an employability session yesterday, inspiring the students around interview skills. We all had great fun building paper towers for the activity-based interviews, and the students delivered some great 1-1 interviews at the end of the day. A big thank you to Biddick Academy for inviting us!

What an eye-opening, Instagram-savvy event Olivia attended at the British Esports this morning. The Social Co team kindly educated people from all different businesses around simple but effective tips to promote brand growth and create engaging content for relevant audiences. They also touched on the incredible algorithms for Instagram, going through the analytical side of Social media.

Working with adults is highly rewarding, but also demanding and a huge responsibility, our Adult Care programme is a varied course covering all aspects of Health and Social Care.
Don't worry if you haven't got your GCSE's, there's no qualifications needed and you can resit your GCSEs alongside the course.

Today we are proud to join Lee and Jean at their graduation ceremony, both recently achieved distinctions in their Learning and Skills Teacher apprenticeships.We are so lucky to have them teaching and preparing our young people for their future careers. Many congratulations to you both!

Olivia, Nikkee, and the work experience student Neive had an amazing day at the careers event held at Farringdon Community Academy. The children were very engaging and full of life, talking about which career paths they are interested in, and were more than happy with the courses and apprenticeships we offer here at Springboard. We nominated the students which were the most vocal, and interactive for a chance to win a generous prize. Neive was showing off her leadership and communication skills fantastically, asking the learners questions related to their futures and educating them about the courses which were more suited for their interests.

Lynn and Alex attended the Proud Allies LGBTQIA+ Awareness training day held by Curious Arts and Northern Pride to further educate themselves in supporting our learners with gender identity, sexuality and expression. The aim being to promote inclusion, both personally and professionally, and to challenge discrimination in all areas.

Springboard Futures learner's have had a great day celebrating their last day of term with staff.

Springboard are proud to introduce a new Relational Mentoring Programme to the communities of Sunderland and surrounding areas. We all need a little support at times and this programme has been designed to support those who are aged 16-64 and economically inactive (eligibility criteria applies ) For more information why not call into one of our free coffee morning drop in sessions where you will be able to chat with one of our mentors to find out more information on the programme, or contact [email protected].

Over the past few weeks Springboard learners have visited the powerful Knife Angel sculpture in Keel Square. We have been privileged to take part in workshops with Connor Brown Trust highlighting the dangers of carrying a knife.
