The museum is currently doing some works to upgrade the electric supply to the museum which means part of the car park at the top is currently fenced off.

It will be a couple of weeks before the full car park is available.

There is room to park on the road in front of the museum in the mean time.

The trustees apologise for any inconvenience, but the works are important to developing the museum with a larger carpark planned.

Thanks to Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental we were able to collect our Skyflash missile which is going to be displayed alongside our Tornado F3.

We love it when our rental vehicles can help your projects take off ✈️

Michael volunteers at the North East Land, Sea and Air Museums in Sunderland, and he recently used one of our box vans with a tail lift to transport an item from the South Coast up to the volunteer-run museum alongside an array of military aircrafts and vehicles.

If you have used one of our vehicles in a project of your own, use to share your photos and story with us.

Volunteers have had alot to keep them busy over the last few weeks.

The museum recently had a visit from The Historical Society - which is celebrating it's 25th anniversary - their members were impressed saying they were amazed at what the museum has achieved. Their words "we didn't expect anything as big and well presented" They also said they enjoyed the chat with the members who were very helpful and knowledgeable.

In the main hangar our Hawker Hunter has been given a good clean and shines nicely beneath the lights!

Volunteers have been working on our Skyflash missile which has had it's fins fitted and a stand made which it now sits on. This missile will be displayed alongside the Tornado F3.

And finally work has been done in the play area, the kids house has been cleaned and given a new bright coat of paint!
