The scenes of crowds of people cleaning our city centre this morning are far more representative of the city we love. Hate, bigotry, violence and the ugly scenes last night have no place in our city. Sunderland is a city of welcome, a city full of wonderful people who love and care for each other. We're praying for all those who have been frightened by the events of last night, especially those who have perhaps begun to believe the lies that they're not welcome - You're more than welcome, you are part of us.

Our youth are travelling tomorrow morning. We're praying they have an awesome time (and great weather!).

We're really looking to having Joanne and John O'Connor from Junction 42 with us tomorrow for our Sunday gathering. Their love for Jesus and passion for the gospel is contagious and they always bring a timely word that challenges and inspires. See you at 11am.

A heads up that our toddler group is cancelled tomorrow. Back to normal next Wednesday!

We have a wonderful bunch of students from North Greenville University in South Carolina with us this week. We're hosting a live music evening with the amazing Joey and KMO performing. We'd love to see you there.

This coming Sunday we'll be gathering at 5pm instead of our usual time of 11am. Roads surrounding the church building are closed Sunday morning until lunch time for the Sunderland City Half Marathon.
Enjoy a lie in (unless you're running!) and we'll see you at 5!
