A statement from The Engine Room and The Fire Station
Everyone involved in our venue is incredibly saddened to see the upsetting scenes in our city.
Last night’s violence does not represent our kind, passionate, tolerant, welcoming and proud city, and we refuse to let what has happened undo the incredible progress our city has made.
We want to say thank you to our amazing staff, security team, the police for their help securing the area and ensuring everyone is safe - and our lovely customers for their kind messages, support and help cleaning up our city.
Everything that was damaged last night can be replaced. We’ll get new parasols, we’ll fix our tables, and we’ll bed new plants in our terrace.
The show must go on, we’ll be open shortly and tomorrow we will see over 500 of you at The Fire Station’s Ibiza in Symphony show, ready to dance, have fun and celebrate everything amazing about our city.
We hate to go on about the grilled cheese sandwich again but you simply must try one.
Sunday is for family and food... But mainly food 🙏
New on cask - this beautiful hazy 4.7%-er from , the perfect tipple before you head into the this weekend.
Say 🧀
Two of our lunchtime favourites - the glorious grilled cheese sandwich and this exquisite tomato and mozzarella number.
Perfect with a side of chips and a pint on this beautiful sunny day 🌞🍻
Sunday vibes; good food, good mood
We’re delighted to launch our new Sunday roast, featuring existing classics with a brand new sides menu. Yes that is cauliflower cheese. Yes it is sensational.

We are so chuffed to be welcoming DJ Justin Robertson to The Engine Room tomorrow night.
For the past 30 years Justin has been a leading figure in the dance music world. He headlines clubs and festivals around the globe as a DJ and formerly with his band Lionrock.
As well as his own musical productions, he is much in demand as remixer having worked with the likes of Bjork, New Order, Noel Gallagher & Erasure over the years.
Entry is FREE, spend your Saturday evening in the company of Justin as he combines contemporary sounds with a 90s vibe.
Tapas 🤝 bar snacks
If you’re ordering the grilled tiger prawns, the lamb croquettes or the Thai style meatballs a side of grilled focaccia is a must to mop up the leftover sauce.
You might as well throw in some olives and crispy potatoes too. Bellissimo.
It wasn’t meant to be, but thank you so much for joining us throughout Euro 2024.
Fish and chips are better than paella, pass it on.
It’s Saturday. The only decision you need to make is bottle or glass.
