The start of a good combination brow are those first pass Microblading strokes, clean and crisp, and ready for those powdery pixels to give some depth. It truly is an art and I’m blessed with the ability to create this for my clients.

NB: It should be known that not everyone’s skin is suitable for Microblading, your chosen artist should be able to advise on what is best for your skin tone/type.

Let’s talk brow corrections

Take a look at this 2 year old microbladed brow (not my work). The colour has faded about 40-50%, and has left a grey hue, there is visible asymmetry, and clients natural brow hairs are quite thick and course, one brow is set higher than the other.

Step 1 is to manage expectations of clients who usually come in showing me pictures of brows they would like to have, however this is not 100% achievable, as the ultimate goal of correction is to correct and cover the old brow. It is not the same as working on a blank canvas.

Step 2 is to brow map, I like to joint work here with the client throughout to ensure they understand the reasoning behind the process and chosen shape.

Step 3 is to colour correct. Understanding colour theory is vital to this step. The grey hue left in the brow is a cool colour and we need to warm this up, according to colour theory and the colour wheel, orange is the opposite colour which will enable us to warm up the brow.

Step 4, implant the desired/target colour into the brow. We would need to see how this heals after 4 weeks and any further adjustments can be made in the touch up appt.

Step 5 is for the client to follow the aftercare to a T! My job is done once you leave the salon, it is then up to you to continue taking care of your brows until your touch up appt. This will enable you to have better healed results and optimum pigment retention.

It’s important to note that this treatment may not be suitable for everyone, but I am happy to discuss this. All you need to do is get in touch send me some pictures of your brows and set up a telephone consultation.

Lip Neutralisation

This treatment is for Fitzpatrick skin 4-6 (light brown skin- dark brown skin) as typically they have melanin rich lips.
Typically these skin tones have cool undertones of blue, grey, purple tones in their lips. This techniques goal is to adjust the colour/tone of the lips, to essentially make them brighter and warmer.

Neutralisation is required before a target colour can be applied to ensure optimum healed result. Neutralisation can also achieve the result alone, it will give a more uniformed result, yet still keeping it natural.

It is important for clients to understand the difference between lip blush and lip neutralisation in order to manage their expectations of the outcome and ensure a qualified professional performs such a treatment.

Having qualified years ago in this treatment and upskilling through the years, I am pleased to be offering this service.

For this client we decided to keep a soft powdery ombré brow. The pigment will heal 40-50% lighter in about 4 weeks time.

Swipe left for my pre draw, I like to do a concealed edge so I can get the crisp outline on point, it’s not my best pre-draw, even I think it’s messy, but you can see how the initial pre-draw helped to achieve the end result, which the client and I were very happy with.

Ombré/Powder Brows are £300 including top up.
