At The Gower Deli we believe that local and seasonal is part of who we are and we are committed to promoting local & seasonal produce a long with our mediterranean range.

We are using local farms and products from small businesses on our menus and we welcome local businesses to sell their products in our deli.
For example, we stock freshly baked breads from little valley bakery, ucker locally farmed Gower meat from Tuckers Butchers, Welsh artisan cheeses and charcuterie, jams, honeys and chutneys, Delice de Gwyn tarts and of course our homemade Mediterranean meals using Gower farmed meats and vegetables and not forgetting our award winning Gower beef Moussaka (1 star Great Taste Award 🌟).

We are preparing to open THIS SATURDAY (24th August)!!

As you know from our updates, we have been delayed with this opening and we did think long and hard about leaving it until we come back from Greece at the beginning of October, but the excitement got too much and we are feeling the anticipation out there and are always being asked "when are you opening?"...

So....we have decided to have a "soft" opening from this Saturday until 2nd October when we will be adding more for you enjoy. Our opening hours during this time will be Wed-Sun, 9am to 5pm.

For now, you can come and browse the Deli which will be stocked with cured meats, a selection of cheeses, fresh cream, Welsh butter, speciality sauces, crackers, rice, dry pasta, pickles, jams, chutneys and other lovely Mediterranean and Welsh Deli items.

On offer will also be grab and go freshly cooked meals to take away such as Private chef christos award winning Moussaka (Great Taste Award 🌟) and other popular Greek dishes.

Our cafe area will be open serving speciality Crafty Smugglers coffee, freshly baked cakes, artisan Italian sandwiches, quiches, Greek salad, homemade couscous and other baked products.

No doubt as a brand new business we may have a couple of teething problems so please bear with us as we find our feet! Your feedback, good or bad 🙈, is gratefully received so we can work hard to bring you the full Gower Deli experience from October, when we will be a fully licensed premises and will be adding wines and micro brewery beers along with our Greek Street food and Tapas and Wine tasting evenings.

I walked in the deli today and for the first time in long time I felt so satisfied and happy 😊
Suddenly hit me that I’m so close to my life dream and the deli / bakery / cafe is only steps away to open and my dream to become a reality.
Me and Leanne have not had an easy time the last 6 months (with my health and everything going on around us) and to manage to open a deli/ cafe , recover from 2 major operations and a week in ICU and everything else the life throws us and still manage this big and expensive project, couldn’t make me happier and more proud for what we achieved.
Saying that nothing would have been achieved without the behind the scenes help from my girl ❤️Leanne, the support of Swansea Council Growth grant (UK Shared Prosperity fund) through Jack Joseph FarmCo Swansea. The Development Bank of Wales ( business loan ) and the advice and support from our Business Wales adviser Jamie Reynolds and all the support from our friends.

This project wouldn’t have been achieved or started without the above support but also I can’t ignore the fact that I was surrounded with the Dream team and their support, guidance and advice is what brought this project to nearly a completion. Big shout out to

Required - General Manager for Cafe, Bakery and Delicatessen based in Southgate,
Gower.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, personable, hands-on general manager where the focus is giving the customer an exceptional experience.

Our ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking individual who will turn their knowledge and know-how into great new ideas to help our business grow and have supervisory experience, be competent in managing EPOS systems in a Café/Restaurant environment and will ideally be Barista trained.

The role will involve overseeing all aspects of the front of house operation to include the day to day running of the Deli and Café including the safe opening and closing of the store, stock control/ordering, staff management/rota duties and social media marketing.
