V-Aid: Utilises the skills of 🇬🇧 & 🇺🇦 military and emergency services veterans to provide Emergency Food Aid to those affected by and those responding to disasters world wide.
Great to catch up with Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership and assist them in filling 2 vans with bespoke medical beds along with electrical hoists and other medical equipment which is all soon to be sent to the east of Ukraine. Big, big thanks to our friends at Prince Philip Hospital Llanelli and Glangwili Hospital Carmarthen. Long but rewarding day.
A tremendous accomplishment! Thank you to everyone who contributed to this project.
The Scottish Parliament | Also in May, V-Aid participated in a meeting with the charity Myrnenebo and Scottish MPs. This gathering provided a platform to discuss ongoing humanitarian efforts and the critical support needed for Ukraine.🇺🇦
Cardiff, Senedd Cymru 🏴, June 2024: A joint meeting included V-Aid, Myrnenebo, Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership, REACT Disaster Response and ministers from the Welsh Parliament. This collaborative session aimed to discuss and enhance our collective humanitarian efforts.
In May, we had the honor of jointly hosting a visit from the Ukrainian charity Myrnenebo of Kharkiv. A photo taken inside the Houses of Commons captures the moment just before our joint meeting with ministers. Photo: Myrnenebo, Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership, and V-aid.

As the clip shows, V-Aid together with SHAP are proud to assist BUA in supplying food and medical aid to the vehicles leaving the East and West London depots. We have worked tirelessly to assist getting Vehicles and requested Aid to Ukraine. Please don't scrap your vehicle. Please let us take it to Ukraine to live its last days helping and saving lives. These are not for military use they are all for humanitarian groups who under unimaginable circumstances provide help and assistance to those people and animals who have been caught up in this dreadful conflict. These vehicles we personally drive out to the East of Ukraine are given to the real heroes of the conflict, those that forsake their own safety to help others. Your vehicle WILL make a difference. Your old vehicle is desperately needed. Let us recycle your vehicle and save a life. -AidHumanitarianHelp
British Ukrainian Aid have immediately set up this appeal for donations to help those affected. V-Aid verifies and stands by this appeal https://www.justgiving.com/page/childrenhospital?utm_medium=fundraising&utm_content=page%2Fchildrenhospital&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=pfp-share
Hotel is right next to the biggest city square world. Sods law I reach the centre when I hear my 2 first massive explosions. Because of its closeness to the front line the sirens often follow the explosions. Even here a lot of windows have been blown out from previous attacks.
Cant fault the organisation of P4P. Polish mayor as es**rt to boarder and Governors blue light es**rt from boarder to Lviv centre, ensures all the now uninsured vehicles drive to the safety of the Governors house and the secured parking area.
Making it to the Polish/Ukraine boarder was a great achievement for us and the car. Volunteer Victoria was to leave from Lviv once her specialist medical aid was organised and dispatched.
Just when I thought our handover was complete, I stayed back and witnessed the arrival of the Ukrainian Prime Minister and the Australian Ambassador, both heavily guarded. While I couldn't get their autographs, the Prime Minister's guard did sign for the wound dressings and food rations which were to be taken to their front-line colleagues. Even more, signatures from military who took possession of some of the remaining Pickups for Pick-Ups for PEACE vehicles and the Special Forces Badge helped, thanks to the generosity of the Pickups for Peace drivers, raise nearly £3000 at an auction later that evening. Amazing what a few extra hours standing around can yield!
Proud to of either procured or organised or filled with food and medical supplies all of these vehicles on our 3rd convoy with Pickups for Peace. It's amazing what can be achieved when charities work together. Big thanks to British Ukrainian Aid for providing the first of the ULEZ vehicles to V-Aid who donated to P4P the Volvo before taking the remaining vehicles to Kharkiv where vehicles would be delivered to the amazing Myrnenebo.
Touch of class diving with Pickups for Peace convoys. The Polish Hotel is the perfect stop point after an intense drive and first place all meet up. The below picture shows the air raid shelter in the Lviv Hotel. Got to hand it to them, they look after the men and women drivers, many of whom have donated their vehicles and supplies to Ukraine. I would thoroughly recommend any one thinking of donating a vehicle to give them a call. I guarantee laughter and tears and wonderful memories and new friendships to all who participate. Top draw P4P
Left- is the Myrnenebo community facility I visited with the kids and trauma areas fully in use with generator keeping the lights on. A beautiful day full of smiles and happiness. Right- is 4 days latter. Cant find the words.😢😡

What were doing together
The Team based in Kharkiv.
Meetings at Scottish, Welsh and UK parliament's organised along with Ukraine Embassy and Leeds Mayor and other well respected charities and organisations. Busy two weeks ahead.
Just when we thought our vehicle troubles were behind us, over 100 miles past the repair shop, we realized our 5th gear and reverse were non-functional. But the decision was unanimous, we would carry on. Our dedication to our drivers and the people waiting for aid outweighed the challenge. 2,300 miles to go, and no looking back. Tony became the reverse gear.
April, we set off on a vital mission to Ukraine with three vehicles, ready to deliver aid and support other groups. Unfortunately, our journey hit a snag right at the start. In Chertsey, my hometown, our car's clutch gave out after just 200 miles. We spent a full day fixing it, with emergency repairs costing £900. It wasn't the start we hoped for, but our spirits stayed high. [Link to learn more]
Recently, we at V-Aid were at the British Ukrainian Aid's depot, inspecting ULEZ vehicles used in our latest humanitarian effort. It's essential to collaborate with other charities to magnify our impact. This approach requires patience and diplomacy but ultimately leads to more substantial support for those in need. Among the vehicles was a Volvo, the first we used to transport food and medical supplies as part of the Pickups for Peace convoy. After distributing the aid, we passed this vehicle on to them, as we had additional vehicles ready to assist further in Kharkiv. Learn more about our efforts and join us in making a difference
