"Hey! I’m Adam Edmunds, a third year Music Technology Student. For the past year at UWTSD I’ve been working on my composing skills through researching many different techniques and applying them in practice. Many of these include Experimental Music Theory such as Microtones, which are included in my final track ‘Microtonal Drum ‘n’ Bass’, Odd Time Signatures and Minimalism.



I’ve also been working closely with various film directors and game developers on their projects, in order to create an immersive, atmospheric Soundtrack. My Final Showreel includes: tracks from my Independent Project, questioning whether contemporary music theory can be used in mainstream music, tracks from my work as a Composer for Film and Game, as well as Sound Effects and Foley designed for use within games. I hope you enjoy!"

"Hi, I'm Osian - a third year Music Technology Student at Swansea College of Art UWTSD. My last three years have been filled with many new experiences, loads of interesting people and some great memories. Through the wide-array of topics and modules studied, my interests developed in to a passion for content creation, with my dream to work in the Radio and TV industries. Going forward I hope to develop my skills and create a portfolio of high-quality content, using my Welsh language skills to reach a wider range of audiences.

​For my showreel and portfolio, I have created a Welsh language video that showcases a number of my skills and abilities, including music production, song-writing, as well as some camera and editing skills. In addition, my showcase includes a number of songs that I have written and produced both recently and over the last three years. Enjoy!"

"Hi, I'm Bailey - a third year music technology student specialising in electronic music production and DJ'ing. I'm very passionate about all things music, specifically the technologies and developments within spatial audio; creating many compositions that coincide with my passion for electronic music and 3D audio.

Utilising my experience within electronic music production, I am aiming towards a career within the audio library industry by creating many different genres of music made for TV and film."

"Hi, I'm Sam Evans, a 3rd Year Creative Music Technology student at UWTSD. I have a special passion for sound design, creating new worlds and stories through the medium of sound. After my degree I plan on starting my own pathway towards teaching, as well as finding time to complete a full composition album.

This is my final year showreel, featuring some of my best works over the last three years, and even some new ones. I hope you enjoy!"

Meet Bezza! 👋

"Ite, I’m Jacob, also known as ‘Bezza’. I’m 22, now living in Pembrokeshire after moving from Oxford. I’ve been a part of this university for 4 years (had a nice “vacation” mid-way through) and am coming to the end of my Music Technology degree!

Being introduced to the technical aspect of music from a young age, I focused on understanding the sound and visual aspects of the music scene. After School I went to Pembrokeshire college, before applying for University! After a rollercoaster experience of multiple deadlines, countless enjoyable experiences, and a global pandemic! - here I am leaving uni with friendships that will last a lifetime, endless unforgettable memories, a slightly bigger beer belly, and if all goes well, a degree!

Over the years I’ve been introduced to many aspects of the music industry in music technology, I’ve really enjoyed working in the studio, being hands on and actively producing projects with people and myself. Being able to run and manage a mixing desk with freedom and full creative exploration really bring out the best in me.

This final showreel of mine shows off my interest in urban music of all sub-genres, such as American Rap, British Pop Rap, Grime, Drill, and all in-between. It allows me to show off my skills in music production, sound engineering, post-production, and mixing and mastering my projects. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, getting artists to come in and provide vocals over my instrumentals has been tricky, the theme is to imagine what my instrumentals would sound like if they had mainstream artists featuring on them. This displays my versatility to the urban Rap scene.

After leaving UWTSD I hope to continue my interest in music. Studio work really appeals to me as managing to work with like-minded people is a dream I have. Another path that looks appealing to me is music therapy. After working with Troy Boyz and helping young adults with the idea of music and arts really made me feel good about myself that I could help other people express themselves and enjoy their time doing the things I loved. Massive thanks to the lectures and my family who have been a massive help to me throughout my uni experience and making me accomplish things I never thought I’d be able to do. Cheers!"👋

"Hi I’m Evan frontman of industrial/ noise rock band Purple Glass. My favourite aspect of music is writing songs as a form of catharsis. After uni I hope to be able to become self sufficient through my music.

My showcase includes an acoustic performance of some original material and covers, with an electric improv at the end."🎸🤟

"One of my favourite aspects of music is the creation part. Although not exclusively, I write a lot of music from sounds that I gather when field recording. I really enjoy experimenting with samples by adding effects to see what sort of sound I can get out of them.

My segment is a showcase of some of my binaural work. I became interested in binaural audio after listening to some remixes of songs online done in binaural. I really liked how intimate it made the music sound. I have also been interested in how as a tool, it can be used to create an immersive world of sound. Since then I've been exploring binaural software for different types of projects. I've used it for both music and audio dramas."
