A thriving local economy goes hand in hand with the desirability, aspiration to live here, bring your children up here , retire here, holiday here. Encourage young entrepreneurs of the future to take the plunge and start that new venture. This applies everywhere right now. With ongoing road works coming into the village (and yes it’s gas so very essential) for a few more weeks please support your small independents. It has been a rough few weeks for most of the village shops. Large supermarkets can survive without you buying certain things from them. Take that extra time to go and get your greeting card from many other places in the village, that gorgeous Brie from our favourite local deli, the expertise from your local wine merchant, the knowledgeable bookseller, the boutique owner who take the time helping you pick out that perfect outfit, flowers from creative florists. As small independent businesses we stock products from local producers and artisans, supporting us means we continue to support them. The little decisions by you make a HUGE difference to your local independents. 🙌🙏🙌
