Thank you for understanding the ‘no dog policy’ the past couple of days. Lady has now gone back home and we welcome you and your furry friends to The Royal as normal. 🐾

Polite notice to all our customers that on Wednesday our Lady will be coming to stay until Friday evening.

During this time we ask people not to bring dogs to the pub as Lady can be unpredictable around other dogs, however as you all know, she loves people and can’t wait for cuddles and treats from you all!

📣 THIS SUNDAY (16th June) 📣

For this Sunday only, we will be have the 4-7 club accompanied with some live music. Can’t quite beat a refreshing pint, overlooking the marsh with a touch of acoustic music.

We are hoping for some good weather to have this outside on our beer garden, or out the front by the entrance to the pub, however if we are to expect our usual rainy days, then we will have the music in the bar.

If this event goes well, we will be looking to host a monthly Sunday Session, where we invite local artists to come and share their music with us, along with a (cheaper) drink!

Discounted drinks will be on both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Designated drivers are entitled to a free soft drink.

The best pub security officer we have ever had the pleasure of looking after our pub, whilst the Landlady takes a well deserved break, is none other than our wonderful Lady Nala! 🐾

Lady has been so good and we look forward to seeing her back in the near future. She will be going home tomorrow morning so be sure to pop down today to say farewell (until next time)!

Whilst Heather takes a well deserved holiday for the next couple of weeks, Melody is staying at the pub and has brought Lady. During this time we ask for you not to bring your furry friends to the pub as Lady can be unpredictable around other dogs. She loves people though and is excited to see everyone.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but please remember this is only temporary and when Heather returns from her holiday, we welcome your companions back in.

Friday the 26th of January is also the night to embrace in the celebration of Johnny Knoedl’s birthday. Some great people were born this day including my brother John Skipper.
I for one will be raising a glass to heaven to celebrate Johnny Knoedl’s birthday and life celebration. I will also be raising a glass for my brother in Sheffield. We all loved Johnny knoedl he was taken too soon. Bandit will be also raising his glass on his 80th birthday to Johnny. They both are top people and Bandit thought the world of Johnny. Johnny would certainly be here for The Bandit!
