Skills Translator Makes Finding the Right Civilian Job Easier for Military Personnel
To assist military Veterans in the civilian job market, The British Training Board (TBTB) is the UK’s only military Skills Translator. The new tool is designed to make it easier for military Veterans to find civilian jobs that align with their military specialities and skills.
During focus groups with Veterans, we found many had a great deal of concern over how their military specialities and skills would translate to civilian equivalents. Many Veterans understand they have valuable skills, but they have difficulty understanding where those skills fit into a civilian workforce; the Skills Translator can help you determine the best fit for their military experience.

Hours: 15 hours per week, flexible schedule (Monday to Wednesday)
Salary: OTE £16.60 per hour
Are you a dynamic and outgoing individual passionate about sales and training? We seek a motivated part-time salesperson to join our growing team at The British Training Board, a leading training company dedicated to empowering individuals through high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively engage with potential clients to promote our training programs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their training needs.
Effectively communicate the benefits and features of our training programs.
Achieve and exceed sales targets through strategic planning and ex*****on.
Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional activities.
Requirements:
Previous experience in sales, with a preferred background in training or education
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Flexibility to work 15 hours per week, available on Mondays to Wednesdays.

The British Training Board was established to provide a bespoke Skills Translator for personnel to transfer in-house qualifications into nationally and Internationally recognised accredited certificates.
This is usually achieved without the requirement for additional training. Thus freeing up time for job search.
How does it work?
You send us your in-house qualifications and CPD certificates. Decide what you would like to do in the future, and we will do what we can to translate any training you have completed into certificated learning that are industry recognised.
The process is as simple as possible, and there is usually no need to attend any further training. We run assessment centres across the UK to make the process as seamless as possible.
We work closely with a small number of specialist training providers and other agencies.

National Armed Forces Academy
Is a collaboration between The British Training Board, The PROUD Program, The University of Wales Trinity St David and specialist training providers to bring you bespoke education pathways from Level 3 to Level 7.
All using your previous learning and education from your current and previous roles.
You can study at your own pace. Gaining credits from your previous military history using the "Skills Translator" and your Certificated and uncertificated learning.
We currently have 5 areas of learning that incorporate the most diverse range of skills and experience.
You can choose a pathway that will suit your particular skill set and follow that pathway all the way to a Post graduate degree in professional practice and then top up to a full Master’s degree. All of our completed pathways have a full graduation ceremony

This specific services helps with the transition back into Civilian life by converting the skills and qualifications you gained whilst serving into Civi street and showing you all the different career paths you can choose from.
After using this service, you will be given a 1 to 1 coaching session to discuss your options of which courses would be best for you to pursue to the best of your abilities.
