Big news! After an incredible journey of almost 15 years, I have made the decision to sell my beloved Italian restaurant. While this marks the end of an era, it also marks the beginning of a new adventure for me. I am excited about the opportunity to explore new ventures and projects, and you may still spot me around the area!😜

As one chapter closes, another begins
The new owner will be introducing fresh pizza and fresh pasta dishes, bringing a new energy to the place.
My last day here will be on the 28th of April. After that, the place will be closed for some refurbishment works that will lead to the creation of this new great project. If you want to pop in for a ciao before that date, you’re more than welcome!❤️

Gaetano’s Restaurant, An authentic Italian story...
Like generations of Sicillians before him, Gaetano left his tiny native island to seek a more prosperous life in the UK. Arriving in Swindon in 1981, the dashing Young Italian first made an impression preparing pizzas for the party crowd at Pasha’s nightclub. Encouraged by the feedback from happy customers, he opened his own small coffee shop on Victoria Road in 1982 which became Gaetano restaurant just a year later.
35 years later and Gaetano is still going strong - more spacious and with even more rustic atmosphere, but still specialising in lovingly prepared dished based on the home-made recipes young Gaetano learnt from his mama back in Sicily. Today’s owners have inherited the authentic Italian values passed down through generations from Gaetano and remain dedicated to bringing a touch of ‘la dolce vita’ to lovers of delicious Italian food and scrumptious wines.
