We love messy play at Little Wildlings! There are so many benefits for children from fine and gross motor skills, exploring and understanding the world around them, mark making and sensory feedback

Sorry for the radio silence! been a super busy summer/autumn! prepare for an influx of posts as updates at long last!
Starting off with one of our autumn activities where we used conkers to help children with number recognition and understanding quantities! As an extension the children also had a go at writing the numbers.
They did great sharing and then taking and held their attention for a long time 🍁🍂🔢

Today we celebrated our incredible children that are spreading their wings and leaving for school in september! It has been an absolute privilege to look after each and every one of you and help you learn and grow 🎈🎓🍏 We know you will all be absolutely amazing in your next chapter! Thank you for all the love and fun over the years, and for the tie dying, marshmallow toasting, presentation fun of today ❤️🎁🎊 We love you all xoxoxo

Springtime fun 💐🌼☀️
We have been having so much fun learning about all things spring and the changing of the seasons!
Our wonderful nursery dog Bella also sniffed out a newt in our pond which the children were so excited to meet and learn about!

Outdoor play 🍁🍂🍃
At Little Wildlings we are big on outdoor play.
we make the most of our natural environment and use it to promote all of the areas of development! The children are encouraged to actively explore, run, climb, swing, get messy, make marks and problem solve (to name a few) through our curriculum and outdoor provision, as a result the children are happy, confident learners who love their days at nursery🍂🍃🍁

Little Wildlings Nursery is a new nursery set in the grounds of the former Kingston St Mary preschool, we opened in January 2022, are largely outdoor based, spending the majority of our time in our rural garden and forest school with our nursery dog and guinea pigs.

There’s a monster in your show!!! We have had a very busy day, we caught the bus from outside nursery, went to Vivary for a soggy picnic, then went to the brewhouse to watch there’s a monster in your show! The children really engaged with the show, interacting at every opportunity and sat really nicely! we are really proud of you Little Wildlings 🍃

Halloween fun! we have had great fun enjoying halloween week, hammering golf tees into pumpkins, pumpkin smash, pouring and measuring rice and lentils, face painting, collecting lots of orange leaves, learning about spiders and all things autumn 🍁🍂

stay and play reminder!!! Tomorrow 2pm-4pm over at forest school🍂🌿🔥hopefully the weather will behave itself and we can bake beautiful cupcakes on the campfire! All current families welcome as well as those who have just graduated, and those who are about to join! we would love to see you there 😊😊😊
