It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our beloved Bruno's passing. πΆ Bruno was not just a pet; he was family, a loyal companion, and a source of endless joy in our lives. π
Losing a cherished member of the family is never easy, and we've been navigating through waves of grief. π Yet, in these moments of sadness, we've also found solace in the power of self-care and the healing properties of essential oils. πΏ

Rest Easy at Gable End Farm Horse Retirement
Horses have evolved to live naturally as a herd in big open spaces.
They are gregarious and also claustrophobic.
They are by nature a fright/flight prey animal.
As a group they will wander and browse, continuously moving in search of water and food.
When given the opportunity to freely roam they will move for over 15 miles each day and are less likely to sustain physical injury.
This keeps them active and relatively fit.
Having free continuous access to grazing and foraging their digestive system is able to stay balanced, active and healthy.
Being bare foot and having the ability to wander at their own pace they naturally have self regulating hooves, which are self trimming.
As a herbivore horses are trickle feeders with a very small stomach. Little and often.
They will graze for in excess of 50% of their day. This means they need an intake of food every 20 to 30 minutes.
This trickle feeding process needs a continual flow of food, in the form of roughage, to keep the digestion system and gut flora functioning continuously and smoothly.
With the combination of free range movement and unlimited access to a wide variety of natural forage they are less likely to suffer from any disruption to their digestive system.
On a diet of coarse, high fibre pasture, which will have less sugars pro rata, the horses are less likely to develop ailments.
Living as a herd they have the natural ability to hang out together and do mutual grooming.

We believe that our mission to support people's health and wellbeing starts with the very first seed, long before our ingredients arrive at our eco factory. We work closely with our suppliers and have built strong, lasting relationships with growers who use organic, fair trade and wild-harvesting practices. In 2017 we paid more than Β£30,000 in fair trade premiums to suppliers to support local communities and funded projects including building a well for the women of the Samburu Tribe, who collect our Kenyan frankincense. We will continue to allocate at least a third of donations to support our supply chain and, this year, we will bring in three new fair trade ingredients from Uganda.
Your nose cones into contact with so many synthetic fragrances that sometimes we tell ourselveswe don't like a particular fragrance because we've become so acustomed to a synthetic version. I felt that was about frankincence before I joined Neal's Yard.
In my aromabalance workshops I don't reveal what essential oils Ive used until the end. Although you may guess some of them, that isn't the aim of the workshop. Instead I ask you to focus on how it makes you feel, does it invoke any emotions or memories, and most importantly if you like it. You'll also be invited to try different combinations together, and have a recording sheet to note your own findings.
When you're guided by your feelings rather than preconceived ideas, you enjoy the experience more. Message me to book your place
