2022 is nearly over…

It’s been a scary and exciting time for me this year. I have taken a leap of faith and decided to change the direction of my life by focusing on doing things I love.

Starting a small business by yourself is tougher than I ever imagined. There have been highs and lows but I hope that I can continue to follow my dream into 2023 and beyond…

I just want to say ‘hello’ to everyone as I don’t think I’ve ever properly introduced myself on these little squares…

I’ll be honest, I’m not very good at this kind of thing, but here’s a bit about me…

I love snuggles with my crazy cockapoo

I relax by spending time pottering in the garden 🌿
I feel really passionate about saving our planet 🌍
and I have to start my day with a cup of tea! ☕️

Delphiniums in November…

The weather in Somerset is glorious today (which makes a change from the rain we’ve been having) but it has been so mild I have still managed to get my hands on some beautiful blooms thank you to 💙🌼

I thought the colours were perfect for my bowl which I love using for my designs. I just wish I had more of them!

Seasonal colours…

The colours in this petite arrangement seem to reflect the darker evenings now the clocks have changed.

I don’t mind too much though as it gives me an excuse to cuddle up with the dog and drink hot chocolate! ☕️🕰️ 🐾

Autumn is definitely here…

The British flower season is coming to an end so I wanted to use these beautiful dahlias in a special arrangement before the frost hits us in the south-west.

Pumpkins also make the best sustainable containers! 🎃🧡🍂

The evening light…

The nights are starting to draw in but the setting sun was beautiful this evening.

This bouquet was full of September flowers including Dahlia, Cosmos, Zinnia and zesty lime Amaranthus. I love that there are still bright colours even though Autumn is definitely on its way. 🍂

A love for flowers…

I was looking through old photographs and found this one of me (from a very long time ago!) dressed up as Eliza Doolittle from My Fair Lady.

Who would have thought that my future life would involve working with ‘loverly’ flowers too…

British Roses…

Roses are enjoying a brief second flush at the moment but will soon disappear again for the winter. The scent of these roses is absolutely heavenly.

I’m a huge fan of using colour in my arrangements but am also partial to all white colour scheme, classic and timeless when used for a wedding.

As the weeks and months go by, I’m discovering the most beautiful new flowers. The colour of this cosmos and dahlia is so delicate & pretty.

Thank you for the gorgeous selection of flowers this week. I’m sure the recipients of these will adore them too.

The Flower Crown of Joy 🌸🌼👸

I think my model is showing how joyful it is to wear flowers in your hair. I’m very fortunate that my family fully support my work and are happy to help however they can.

The cornflowers, that are individually hand wired, are such a vibrant colour and just scream ‘summer is here’!

The beautiful botanically dyed silk ribbon from just sets it off perfectly (and just so happens to be the models favourite colour!)

This bouquet is more special than you think…

It is completely unique with gorgeous blooms grown just 10 minutes from my front door, zero air miles, no single use plastic and supporting local small business. It’s a win-win for everyone!
