Match Report:
After last weekends defeat to Ashbrittle we were hoping to get straight back out their and get a win against Fitzhead.
Having lost the toss we were put into bat. Michael Kidner and Nathan Hill got us off to a great start before Kidner got caught infront the stumps and fell for a good 31. Fitzhead then got another couple quick wickets seeing Huish around 90/3. N. Hill and O. Buckingham then put on a steady partnership which saw Hill reach his first 100 for the club before falling short on the boundary, a great batting performance! Buckingham then tried to push on in the last few overs and was bowled for a good 38. Huish ended on 244/6.
Huish then got off to a fantastic start with the ball, Josh Fyfe finding the edge on his very first ball. Fitzhead then started to push on, but a tidy spell from Leigh Milton-Fyfe of 9-3-33-0 kept them behind the run rate. Fitzhead then put on a good partnership and the game felt like it could have gone either way. N. Hill then came on to bowl and within his first over broke the partnership and took 2 wickets finishing on 7-1-16-3. Will Ellis also performed well with the ball finishing on 7.4-2-35-2 which eventually saw Fitzhead all out and 83 runs short.
A good win for Huish which takes us to second in the league.
Now for a well deserved week off ππ

Match report:
Yesterday we traveled to Crowcombe looking to get two away wins on the bounce. After winning the toss we chose to bowl first.
After a shaky opening over Huish soon got the ball going and wickets were falling. M Pownall with an excellent spell of 7-3-12-3 and L. Milton-Fyfe 9-2-20-3. The rest of the bowlers shared the other 4 wickets between them and Crowcombe were all out for 66.
Huish didnβt want to get carried away with only having a small total to chase and knew they still had a job to do. After getting off to a quick fire 15 M.Kidner edged one through to the keeper. We then went on to chase the score down without loosing another wicket. N. Hill with 21 not out and T. Jenkins with 29 not out saw us home after just 11.4 overs.
Another good win for Huish ππ

Weβre on the road again this weekend, away to Crowcombe CC.
Match report:
Yesterday we travelled to Stoodleigh looking to get our first win of the season.
Stoodleigh won the toss and elected to bat first. Huish had an early breakthrough in the second over with O. Buckingham bowling their opener. Stoodleigh then looked to steady the ship and put on some runs before a mix up in the middle and an excellent run out by N. Pincombe. Huish had kept the score down to around 100 after 30 overs, but Stoodleigh made some quick runs in the last 10 and finished on 178.
Huish knew they had work to do with the bat and looked to get off to a good start before Stoodleigh got a breakthrough and then got another couple of quick wickets. A steady performance from opener M. Kidner and middle order batsmen O. Buckingham and L. Milton-Fyfe got Huish up close to the total before leaving it to I. Pincombe and son to see it home.
A great all round team performance and much needed win for Huish!

Match report:
The weather almost got the better of us for a second week in a row, but due to a big effort from the ground team we managed to get a game on.
Churchinford won the toss and rightly chose to bowl first on what was a very soft wicket offering little bounce. After a strong start from them Huish managed to put 94 on the board and give us something to bowl at.
Huish also got off to a strong start with the ball taking a few early wickets, but as the game went on the wicket was starting to play more true and eventually Churchinfordβs middle order batsmen got them over the line.
A disappointing day, but great to get back out their with the boys and play some cricket in the sun βοΈππ
