We have some sad but also happy news to share with you all today as Josh, our beloved horse, has entered retirement.
Although sad, we are delighted for him that after many years of dedicated service, he, along with his best friends (e.g. some of our livery horses / including those owned by Kate Holloway of Thoughts and Soul Counselling and Equine Facilitated Therapy) are embarking on a new chapter in their lives as they move to a beautiful new home near the south coast, for some well-deserved rest and relaxation! Check out the pictures on Kateβs page: www.facebook.com/thoughtsandsoul
Josh has been an integral part of Conquest Centre, touching the lives of so many with his awesome personality, gentle nature, and unwavering patience. We will be forever grateful for the memories he has created and the lessons he has taught us along the way and feel very blessed that he now has this opportunity to enjoy life to the full.
THANK YOU, Josh! We will miss you like crazy but canβt wait to see your holiday pics!
Note:
Please rest assured that this change does not impact client services in any way.
Kate Holloway, from Thoughts and Soul Counselling and Equine Facilitated Therapy, will continue to operate on-site.
Regarding livery:
Due to our continued growth and increased demand for our services, we regret to inform you that we will not be accepting any new livery placements in the future.

Our Story
Interacting with horses can quite literally change lives! Conquest Centre, based at Norton Fitzwarren, provides horse-based activities for people with disabilities and additional needs and through this benefits their health and well-being. We deliver these activities in an inclusive environment which welcomes our whole community. Our work focuses on ability rather than disability and aims to allow each individual to achieve their personal goals.
Conquest began its journey in 1965. Today we provide around 220 activity sessions a week for adults and children with disabilities and additional needs, as well as catering for families/carers, volunteers and public riders. As well as the clients who come to us direct, our services are used by local clubs and associations, disability support groups, care homes, schools, and Community Payback.
