The old boy is fully retired from being ridden. However, when Zahra jumped on him ba****ck to go back to the field-he got very excited bless him. Might be a case of the mind is willing but the body isnโt but a little stroll along the track to the field isnโt gonna hurt ๐ฅฐ๐๐ด
Come and join us on Saturday 8th June 2024 in the square, wivey 9.30-12.30

Just a tiny little pootle down the road and weโre exhausted. So time to use George as a head rest ๐ค๐๐ด
Oh Captain please stop making me worry about you!! So pleased to see him standing this morning and enjoying the sunshine. He scared me yesturday when he decided to choke on his tea instead of eating it nicely! Oh Captain, my Captain ๐ด๐
Captain wandering what the hedge cutter men have done and looks like Fly rolled in it all!!!
Weโre still here!!! I havenโt posted much at all recently on this page and itโs been for a few reasons. Mainly because Captain has (almost) fully retired now and so he isnโt visiting care homes anymore or doing any of his usual events. But also coz weโve just had the worst winter ever and weโve basically just had to survive nevermind do anything else!! Captain really struggled at the place I moved the horses to. It was a very wet area so with the amount of rain we had as well it was just a mud pit. Luckily I had the barn with stables to keep them out the mud as much as possible but this then came with its own problems. We had skin problems, leg problems, unhappy horses, abscesses galore and Iโll be completely honest and thought I was going to lose Captain a few days before Xmas. But we didnโt and he pulled through-we all pulled through and kept going!
So, we have now moved to a new place thanks to a lovely lady that came to me at the right time and offered us a place that we just couldnโt say no to. Lots of land, lots of grass, lots of natural shelter and the boys living out just as they should. I now have 3 happy boys, recovering from their ailments and Iโm happy too.
Watch this space, although Captain should be retired, I have a feeling he might make a little appearance now and then ๐ ๐ด๐
Chillin in the barn today and I donโt blame them! โ๏ธ
Captain making the most of his retirement!!
Well Fly had to step up and boy did he have some huge hooves to fill. I am so proud of this boy. He was amazing doing his first remembrance outing, showing off to all the children at wivey primary and then we popped across to Pulsford lodge to see all the residents ๐บ๐ด
Captain is ready for tomorrow ๐
Enjoying an evening with Captain ๐ด๐
