Not long to go now to one of the highlights of the antiques events calendar...the Classic Antiques Fair at the NEC, Birmingham, 12th-14th July 2024. We have been busy bees preparing lots of fresh goodie's reserved especially for this fair. An event not to be missed, we look forward to seeing you there!

..and they're off..not to Cheltenham races but to the forthcoming Shepton Antiques, Vintage and Collectors fair!
Here are some of the early runners and riders destined for my stand in the main Showering pavilion including a lovely oak settle, a pair of "Gnomeman" stools, and some stylish mid century Ercol.

..a quick clean/restock/refresh ready for the final day tomorrow of the . Opens 10am-4pm.

..no time for a cuppa as we are busy packing for The Classic Antiques Fair . Opens Friday 10am! ☕️🫖

..a visit from the boss today at the superb at the excellent . Super tired now after a busy day with bumper crowds!
Big congratulations also to organisers Nick and Sam on their engagement; a surprise proposal at the end rounding off a lovely day 🍾🎉

Finally finished packing! At least it’s a lot cooler now 🥵. All set for sunny Shepton Mallet Antique Fair. I will be in my normal spot in the main Showering Pavillion. Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday. ☀️

Super excited for one of our favourite fairs, this weekend’s . We are busy packing lots of goodies ready for tomorrow’s opening and are on stand A12 until 5pm Sunday!

Fit for a King…or in this case a Prince! A Prince of Wales Investiture Chair created for the ceremony held at Caernarfon Castle on 1st July 1969. Designed by Lord Snowdon, constructed with Welsh Ash, Beech and Tweed, the striking design in vermillion red with gold leaf Prince of Wales feathers, reflected a more modern Royal Family in a television age. 👑

..Just a few of the treasures heading to the Shepton Mallet which opens tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. As normal I am in the main Showering pavilion stand 124 with lots of silver, ceramics and furniture.

..celebrating had us looking around the showroom at a selection of beautiful bookcases we currently have in stock including Mouseman, Liberty & Co and Cotswold school pieces to name but a few..

…love is in the air🎵…packing for this this weekends at the super . Just a few valentines vibe items destined for my stand A12, including a lovely Art Nouveau silver Romeo and Juliet photograph frame, Birmingham 1906 by Walker and Hall. Opens tomorrow till Sunday 5pm.

This Saturday and Sunday see the second of our back to back antiques fairs..and they keep getting better! This time we are in with , a super event and venue not to be missed!

..after a whistle-stop tour of Norfolk we are back home, repacked and ready for tomorrow’s antiques fair at Dunster, a small yet quality local outing held in the picturesque early 16th century Tithe barn, opens 10am-4pm.

Just packing up for this weekend’s antiques fair , and had another look at this lovely hand wrought Britannia standard silver bowl and cover, London 1977. Initially when purchased I automatically thought jubilee piece and didn’t really notice the ‘SILVER WEDDING 1977’. Was this a special commission that also happened to be jubilee year, or was it a late Friday afternoon job for the silversmith! 🤣🤦‍♂️🤔🤷

Staff visit to London today to see the superb Fabergé exhibition at the V&A followed with a tootle down the road to see friends at the Chelsea Antiques fair. Both well worth a visit!
