Northern Lights was visuable over Taunton last night.
Our Chairman Eddie Cullen captured the lights hovering over our golf club.

Today is World Mental Health day. 💛

Golf is an amazing sport to support mental health, fresh air, a walk, time with friends, a release from the day to day that can get you overthinking.

We also recognise the important role the Club plays for our single members who sometime have their visits to the club as their main human interaction to counteract loneliness.

Remember we never truly know what’s someone may be going through. So

This past Sunday, Gary Wide and our Social Media Officer Dan Barnes represented Vivary Golf Club at the Annual Musgrove Cup which took place at Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club.

Profit from the Open is to raise money for League of Friends which is based at Musgrove Park Hospital where our Social Media Officer Dan Barnes works at.

They gathered together to score an impressive 44 points missing out on top spot by 1 point.

They finished 5th out of 52 places & won a prize of a 4 ball voucher at Honiton Golf Club.

Well done to you both.

What a beautiful day for the Copley Trophy taking place today at Vivary Golf Club

Tomorrow will see a 4 man Texas Scramble format takes place competing for the Copley Trophy at Vivary Golf Club.

The competition did take place couple months ago but was cancelled midway through due to bad weather making the course unplayable.

2nd Time Lucky! Weather looks good for tomorrow!

Ken's daughter Kelly Copley who kindly gave her permission to use his photo and wishes all the golfers taking part tomorrow to have a good game of golf and have a pint of Guinness in memory of her father.

As you know Vivary Golf Club secured the Three Counties League with one final fixture to play against Ferndown Forest which took place this past Saturday.

Very close game which ended in a 3.5 - 2.5 loss which did absolutely no harm to our title win!

Kav Butland has expressed his thank yous to all the players who has taken part and supported the Three Counties League this year and is more determined to defend the title 3rd year running.

The Arthur Green Final Days took place today at Vivary Golf Club.

This past Wednesday, the annual Peter Corrick Triangle Trophy took place at Vivary Golf Club.

The team consist a team of 1 Senior Member, 1 Lady Member & 1 Main Member of the golf club

It is a great opportunity to integrate all sections members of the club for one day to play wonderful golf together followed by a meal and chat.

Congratulations to the team of Chairman Eddie Cullen, James Kenworthy & Pam Shuttleworth for claiming the trophy, following in 2nd place is Isla Catto, Colin Woodford & Stephen Clift and in third place is Dale Knight, John Blisset and Jo Quartley.

Thank you for all those who played on the day and supporting club competitions.

Last Friday saw the Ladies from Vivary Golf Club take on Long Sutton Ladies in a friendly match.

Vivary Ladies took the win with some great games of golf.

This past Sunday saw the Melhuish Cup (Medal) take place at Vivary Golf Club

Congratulations to Dan Barnes who shot a net 64 (1 under) with Chas Hall coming second with a net 65 (even)

Dan Barnes is now a x2 Melhuish Cup winner.

This is a Mixed 3BBB Stableford

Competition with drawn teams of 1 Lady, 1 Senior and 1 Main Club player.

Men will play off White Tees, Ladies will play off Red Tees.

Entry Fee is £10 per player to include Food and Prizes for 1st, 2nd ,3rd and Nearest the Pin.

Wednesday 21st August, our Ladies Captain Amanda Woodford is hosting a Captain Day.

We currently have 18 ladies from various clubs playing a round of golf at Vivary Golf Club, followed by a meal.

There will be a raffle in the clubhouse (£1 a strip) and putting competition in front the clubhouse (£1 a go) to raise money in aid of
St Margaret’s Hospice, this will be run from 9am till 1pm.

THIS IS OPEN TO EVERYONE!

All donations welcome and prizes are to be given on the day!
