As well as Roast breast of Turkey, Fish of the Day and our Chestnut & Mushroom Roast, there is Fillet of English Pork, braised cheek & belly - supporting local farmers.

Sorry for not having any pictures to tempt your taste buds recently - our fabulous chefs have been busy busy busy but we had a lovely photo session last week with Aisling Macgill for our new website, so keep your eye out for more….

In the meantime, here are our:

• 12oz Rib eye steak with grilled herb marrow bone, truffle butter & dauphinoise potatoes,
• Our home-made Rock Inn ice-cream, warm caramelised banana & toffee pancake with our home-made Rock Inn vanilla ice cream
• Torbay Sole pan-fried with brown shrimps and lemon, served with asparagus and new potatoes
• Wood pigeon pan-fried on a herb salad with croutons, and black pudding
• Pork belly oriental style with peanut salad
• Our class Featherblade of Aberdeen Angus Beef marinated in black garlic and black treacle, cooked slowly for 14 hours, with confetti of rainbow carrots & cheddar cheese mash potatoes
• Aubergine parmigiana – layers of aubergine with a creamy parmesan sauce and mushroom duxelles
• And finally, our Fondente taleggio – Chefs fabulous invention – a Fodente with a delicious melting Taleggio cheese centre, chilli olives & crouton – delicious!

Here is a bespoke Cheese board for our guests this week, served in front of the fire in the Snug. With a mixture of English & French cheeses, if you love cheese like we do, what a treat this is!

There is nothing like a long lovely dinner, then a quick stroll to bed.

It’s getting close now to the big day! Still some tables for lunch on Saturday and Saturday evening if you are fancy a last minute treat and a chance to enjoy our Grilled fillet of Hake with parmesan risotto, asparagus and vermouth sauce.

It’s Friday, it’s Steak Night!

Moving into the seasons, Flo has come up with a stilton butter – here’s Tim Potter’s 8oz Rump steak grilled with our delicious stilton butter - wow 😀

White crab with smoked salmon & avocado, wasabi scented flying fish eggs, herb sauce & lemon oil – very popular with our guests this week.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.
