Consultation has been launched today on a new Taunton Transport Hub at the former bus station site. The hub will offer a range of transport options, including bus, coach, cycle and bike parking facilities. It will also feature public spaces, green areas, and links to the town centre and the River Tone. See the proposals and comment at https://somersetcouncil.citizenspace.com/comms/taunton-transport-hub/ Costs will be mostly covered by funding from the government's Bus Service Improvement Plan. First Bus operated and closed the previous bus station at the site, which now needs investment and modernising.
