Thirteen-year-old wins Somerset Junior Chef of the Year THE Somerset Junior Chef of the Year 2024 has been named as 13-year-old Kai Jones after a hotly-contested final.

Following on from a very successful networking event with we’d like to shout about our meeting room.
Apart from being beautifully decorated, it seats 16 comfortably and has a very fancy short-throw projector that you can do zoom meetings on and everything!
We’ve put together 3 away-day packages, from the sandwich lunch to an indulgent (may as well be a day-out) away-day with free choice from our a la carte menu and a cream tea before you hit the traffic!

From this week and throughout the summer, the great value (£35.00 for 3-courses) menu will be available on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, all evening from 6.30pm.

Thanks to Tony and his team Carnival Graphics in Bishops Lydeard we have a smart new sign at the bottom of the drive! We’re OPEN Wednesday to Sunday for drinks and dining!

From 5pm to 10pm on Friday nights you are invited to enjoy two cocktails for £15.00, with a good supply of matchy-matchy mocktails for your designated driver.

We’re not even going to insist that you have two the same, so everyone can have a little bit of what they fancy!

(The only exclusion to the offer is the classic champagne cocktail)

Eating out on a school night!?

Our a la carte menu is available from 6.30pm Wednesday to Saturday, so going out doesn’t need to mean a late night.

With all courses priced individually, you can have as much or as little as you like - canapés and bread included.

And as we’ve got a great selection of non-alcoholic cocktails, gins and beers, there really is no excuse not to treat yourself on a school night!

We’ve redefined ‘meeting room’. There’s no soulless, windowless, energy-sucking spaces here; just lots of natural light, outside space, good coffee, home-baked sweet treats and top-drawer food from and the team.

There are two spaces to use: the smart Sedgemoor room seen here and the beautiful, airy Garden room with its own terrace. Take away your team’s meeting gloom and treat them to a new kind of Away-Day experience.

(And please do enquire about larger groups as the West Room Restaurant is a versatile space that we can adapt for larger meeting needs)
