What a wonderful way to spend my last weekend with THE BEST children and young people!!! Yet another amazing showcase of talent, professionalism, kindness and support! Having both academies on stage was absolutely stunning, older students supporting younger, blending AM and PM red groups and a very heart warming and goosebump evoking finale!

When Pauline Quirke MBE and her husband Steve opened the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts in 2007, they wanted to help young people realise their full potential through a unique variety of tuition. Today, with over 200 academies, we’re proud this ethos continues to be central to the skills taught at every weekend! 🌟

From the moment they step through the door of one of our academies, we teach our students performing arts skills that boost their confidence and encourage them explore their creativity, all in a warm and welcoming environment. Developing these important life skills can help contribute towards a child’s physical and mental wellbeing and we're glad to support Children's Mental Health Week 2024 – which is all about empowering children and young people by providing them with the tools they need to express themselves. 💛

Well Done Erin, Phoebe and Harriet for being our performers of the week! You all show such commitment and focus in class and always put the rehearsal time in at home which really shows! Keep up the good work!

A throwback to our Stand Up Comedy project, all students did a phenomenal job performing solo stand up routines for their class mates! We love seeing how our students grow in confidence every week!

Ruby has been busy performing in Dick Whittington since 23rd November! In this panto Ruby plays many parts, she is the Fairy of the Bells, Chopper the Rat, the ships captain, a sailor, she plays the violin, does some ASM work and is the Vocal Captain! Good luck with the rest of your run Ruby!

These wonderful students of ours, Sol, Dylan and Gracie, have just started their run of A Christmas Carol at the brewhouse theatre. They are performing in 16 shows over Christmas and are having such a fab time performing with professional actors.

Huish seeks 2 x 10-13 year olds for College Production

This year Huish are performing ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ for our annual musical which will be held here at Huish on 30th, 31st Jan and 1st, 2nd Feb 2024.

In this production we are looking for a ‘young Bonnie’ and ‘young Clyde’ both aged around 10-13 years old.

Open auditions will be held at the Huish campus on Monday 9th October 5.30-7.00pm in Pine Studios.

Auditionees will be taught a section of song, choreography and script. The accent used in the show is southern American if that helps!

PQA Taunton Is very busy at the moment! Not only are the AM and PM academy are preparing for their West End Shows but PQA Taunton Poppets are jumping aboard a ship for a swashbuckling adventure on the seven seas, bringing Poppets of the Caribbean to life! We are very proud of our Poppets and hope they have fun performing this show on 22nd July!
