Still processing a long and incredibly rewarding week! My worlds have collided and I've had the privilege of selling my Paper Lore products amongst my other-job-shop at . Shropshire Petals is where I am research coordinator but also where my plant-based-waste comes from and so it was deeply satisfying to be able to represent both companies over the weekends and I am intensely grateful. Watching the team absolutely nail organisation and friendliness was inspirational and great food for thought. An unexpectedly emotional sharing of beauty and nature, and an absolute delight to meet and talk to so many flower and paper lovers. As you can probably tell, I'm still on cloud 9 and still can't believe I do what I do with who I do it with. Thank you and massive congratulations to absolutely everyone who grew the first Shropshire Petal Fields - see you all next year ππ

I was thrilled to meet Prof. Keith Snell and Rachel this weekend, who came to buy some more paper and show me this incredible work! I love seeing the different effects people can achieve on the recycled hand made paper - especially here where Keith is using Chinese Ground Ink to really work with the absorbancy of the paper to great effect! Thanks for stopping by and keeping me informed, Keith!
This has been brewing for a short while so I'm glad to be up and running - want to create your own handmade paper recipe? Make-your-own-mix for something specific? Have a rummage through The Custom Cupboard and see what you feel like making today... Link is in the bio. Happy Sunday!

Dipping back into making art and starting with printmaking.
I made this dragonfly drypoint using and paper. The paper is a bespoke recipe made to my specifications so the results are ideal.
I didnβt actually use an etching press for this β I used a Big Shot Pro die cutting machine with a modified bed and itβs as good as any purpose made press.

Saturday consisted of an entirely enjoyable gorgeous drive to learn about using plant fibres to make paper with Brian from at the stunning Summit Good, Killen Fach Eco Farm. Completely wonderful day and my first ever plant fibre paper is made out of my beloved plantain - plantago lanceolata - stems. Perfect. Thanks, Brian!
