It’s great to see this thriving club with a wide variety of age groups growing from strength to strength.
Many thanks to grill master Paul Quinn feeding the hungry hordes, the organisers, players (and their parents).
ps - We’d appreciate it if you could share any photos from our beer garden (or tag us in) - we were a bit too busy to get any snaps 📸

We managed to give the beer garden its first cut of the season (in the pouring rain and hail) but it’s still muddy and quite boggy, especially by the play area.
We’ve scattered some more grass seeds (or bird feed) - see photo 🙂
So… long story short, the beer garden is still closed for now.
Brighter, dryer and longer days shall come soon!
4 years ago… Thank the Gods those times are behind us and we survived!

Only 8 bands out of 96 announced artists of this years Glastonbury Festival DIDN’T start out in grassroots music venues.
We love our live music and especially love it when it’s original material. 🎼🎶🎵❤️
CORRECTION AND CLARIFICATION
Thank you for the many hundreds of comments, shares, questions and suggestions on yesterday's post regarding the central role that Grassroots Music Venues (GMVs) have played in the line up of Glastonbury Festival this year.
A number of you contacted us concerned that some artists left on the poster had, in fact, started their careers in GMVs. We have reviewed the information that was provided to us by fans, management and the artists themselves, and would like to apologise to Heilung, Headie One, Arooj Aftar, Honey Dijon, and Eliza Rose. We have now corrected those errors to create a final version of the Glastonbury line-up with all the artists that started their careers in GMVs correctly identified and removed.
We mistakenly thought there would be 13 artists remaining from the initial 96 artists so far announced, but are happy to clarify that it would, in fact, be only 8. Based on a review of the information at https://www.concertarchives.org/ we believed that 86.5% of the line up started their live careers in a GMV and we were wrong; it's actually 91.7%.
Apologies.
Just finishing up after a long day of football, rugby, chip butties, pizza and neighbours 70th birthday party - then a random passer-by looses a wheel in front of the pub.
No one was hurt, another Good Samaritan stopped to help and we managed to get the wheel back on and the fella made his way home.
Thin Lizzy live concert now on the BBC - it’s whisky o’clock for the landlord.
Pub life, innit?
Brilliant evening with Nick Parker on Thursday and Cheltenham Gold Cup action on the Friday.
