Gosh how did we get to November!! I hope you are all well ❤️

Ok this is a hard post to write😔 as you know 2024 hasn’t really been our year, and it appears it hasn’t stopped giving yet! 😔

In October we were told that our insurance companies would not be renewing our policies with flood cover 😔 which as you can imagine sent my anxiety through the roof, we have spent the last few weeks trying to find a company that will insure the business and our home for flood, but we have failed, but have found companies that will insure us against flood as long as we do not run the business from here😔

So we had a choice, business or home 😔😔, well it wasn’t really a choice, the decision was out of our hands, we have to protect our home at all costs…

BUT I still believe 100% in The Ice Cream Cottage and our business model, so I have dusted down my thinking cap and it’s firmly fixed!!!😂

So you may see that we have had to take down all of our signage from the front of the cottage but this isn’t the end of us, I WILL find the business a new home and I’m really excited about the possibilities that I have 🥰

Honestly they say a cat has 9 lives but I feel like a Phoenix that has risen so many times its unstoppable 🥰

If you got to the end of this, then thank you for reading😘 I really do appreciate you all and all of your support, which is why I really don’t want to close completely, I want The Ice Cream Cottage to evolve (again!) and thrive ❤️❤️❤️

A post from me to you…

Well that’s it, the season of 2024 is done!

I can’t thank you all enough, 2024 didn’t start well for us with the flooding in January and I honestly didn’t think we would get open this year, but we did and again I thought that you would have all gone elsewhere, but how wrong I was!!! You have all amazed me, we have had such a wonderful few months and been so busy! 😀

So thank you, to each and every one of you for visiting us , following me on social media, sharing posts, and commenting, I have honestly been blown away!☺️

Thank you to my amazing staff this year, who really hit the floor running and had to learn very quickly, you have worked so hard for the business and I am so grateful😘

Thank you to my friends who I haven’t really seen since I’ve been open as I’m usually in bed by 8!😂

Thank you to my amazingly supportive family for understanding my work, for helping with computer stuff l, helping me brainstorm and working in the shop when I was short staffed!
Thank you to Martyn who really has worked so hard fitting in making all the delicious treats plus working a full time job!

So that’s me done until April (I will be posting pictures of Martyn’s delicious desserts!) I know it seems hard and I’ve had people ask why, but honestly I’ve tried staying open and it’s just not viable, better I go out and earn some money for the next few months!

Don’t forget you can still order all Martyn’s delicious cheesecakes and cookie pies throughout the winter!

I can’t believe my ‘baby’ turns 30 this month😱 , so I thought I would go with a Birthday Cake Sundae today!! 🥳

Full of our soft serve Ice Cream, mini party rings, homemade birthday cake and lashings of our delicious strawberry sauce and topped with whipped cream and our signature wafer, this one is something to celebrate 🥳

We may be closing for the end of our season soon, but Martyn will be making whole desserts to order🥰 throughout the winter😀

We have lots to choose from, Cheesecakes, Cookie Pies, Brookies,Banoffee Pies ,all sorts!

If there is something you particularly want and can’t see on the list, just give me a shout and I’ll talk nicely to Martyn!!😂😂

We need at least 1 weeks notice please but slots will be limited as they will have to work around Martyn’s airport runs, so book as early as you can..

We are taking bookings from the beginning of October through to March and Christmas bookings can be collected up until 23rd December🎄🎄

I can ONLY take bookings via Facebook messenger or by leaving a message on our answering machine please, (01684 292906) too many different ways of booking will confuse me!😂👵🏻

I will ask for a 25% non refundable deposit to secure your booking, with the rest payable upon collection please.
