Lady Nade says, “I grew up listening to my grandads mix tapes and Nina Simone - she has gone on to have a song for every moment of my life, she has held me in times of joy, despair, love, laughter and hope. As a black female Nina Simone paved the way for artists of my generation to not give up on their dreams and hopes. I am delighted to be celebrating her life and legacy with some of UKs top musicians”

For 13 years, legendary hard bop outfit Code Red tore up the Bristol harbourside every week.

Every now and then, Ben Waghorn (sax), Andy Christie (gtr), Andy Keep (bs), and Andy Tween (dr) join Frome Jazz Club pianist Keith Harrison-Broninski to play classic Code Red material for a special occasion from 12-3pm on Sunday 8th September, it’s Somerset Jazz Festival.

You’ll never think of Sunday lunchtime the same way again.

FRIDAY NIGHT : BRING YOUR DANCING SHOES
Get yourself recentred with our early evening Tai Chi session and then join BRISTOL SWING RIOT who will show you some dance steps. We will follow up with a long live session with RUBY JAZZ BAND, playing a wide range of Jazz classics, including 30’s and 40’s swing tunes, 1920's standards, ballads, Latin bossas and blues, they make every party swing.
