Imperial Detailing will be closed this upcoming Sunday the 22nd due to Aldan taking some well deserved time off on holiday in Morocco.

Steve will be a there until Saturday if anybody needs to come in to see us for anything.

Last week we were very busy completing ceramic coating packages on five vehicles in amongst our maintenance clients visits and meeting some new maintenance clients.

Here is one that was rather challenging but managed to complete it with outstanding results within the customers budget!

The entire vehicle was covered in overspray, mass amounts of orange peel, swirls, scratches and a handful of panels were reading depth readings with variances of up to 70 microns across them 🤦🏻‍♂️

After receiving our Single Stage enhancment polishing package we got it back to a very respectful standard with lots of gloss!

It was then protected with our Warranted Graphonix Penta Five Year Ceramic Coating 💪

🔥 42 Hour Paint Correction & 9 Year Coating 🔥

This Audi TT came to us last week with severe defects throughout the entire vehicle, 23 bird poo etching marks, severe light & medium defects on every inch of every panel, a handful of deep scratches on each panel and lots of embedded hard water minerals around every badge.

42 hours later it was finally complete, an easy 99% defect free finish from wet sanding in isolated areas, multiple sessions of compounding and working though multiple grades of polish until we was happy with the stunning finish you see here!

This vehicle is now protected with a warranted 9 Year Ceramic Coating protecting it and making cleaning a breeze for many many years to come 💪

Look at that gloss 😍

This Audi S3 came to us last week to rectify lots of defects within the paint! Holograms, oxidation, marring, chemical burns, bird etching, swirl marks, and lots of scratches throughout.

The client only wanted to go for a single stage enhancement, but we still managed to remove all of the defects apart from the medium & deep scratches which is amazing for this typical hard Audi paint and exceeded our expected 65% correction rate.

The vehicle now is protected with our warranted Graphonix Trio 3 year ceramic coating, we will be looking forward to maintaining this one on a four weekly basis.

We have received a few messages from people asking to see our complete safe wash guide, so we have decided to post it for everyone to see, the link to this with everything else you need to know about maintaining your vehicle and coating is here: imperialdetailing.uk/ceramic-coating-aftercare/

Full Safe-Wash Method for Coated and Uncoated Vehicles:

– Fill three buckets. Two for the body, one with plain water, one with the recommended dilution of shampoo, and one bucket with shampoo for the wheels.

– Pressure rinse wheels and arches

– Apply Pre-Wash to wheels. DO NOT let it dry
on the vehicle

– Scrub tyres with a stiff brush

– Rinse wheels

– Apply Pre-wash and wheel cleaner to wheels. DO NOT let it dry on the vehicle

– With a dedicated microfiber wash mitt, soft barrel brush and dedicated soft detailing brush, thoroughly clean your wheels and intricate areas such as lug nuts

– Rinse off each wheel after cleaning

– Rinse off the body of the car

– Apply pre-wash to the body of the vehicle and let it dwell for 2 to 5 minutes. DO NOT let it dry on the vehicle

– Pressure rinse off from the top of the vehicle, downwards

– Apply a generous amount of snow foam to the vehicle and let it dwell for 2 to 5 minutes. DO NOT let it dry on the vehicle

– Rinse off the body of the car

– Apply a generous layer of CarPro Reset
through a foam lance to aid wash mitt lubrication and enhance the Reset properties of the shampoo. Leave this to dwell on the vehicle whilst undertaking the next step

– The two-bucket wash method: Using a dedicated wash mitt and two dedicated buckets with grit guards, fill one with soapy water and one with plain water. Carry out a safe contact wash; starting from the top of the vehicle and working down. Wash half a panel at a time before rinsing your wash mitt in the rinse bucket, followed by the soap bucket, and repeat until you reach the underside of the vehicle.

– Using another dedicated wash mitt, clean the base and underside of the vehicles sills and bumpers – Keep this mitt separate from the others

– Thoroughly rinse the entire vehicle

– Dry the vehicle, preferably using a contact-free method (i.e. a blower or filtered water). If this is not possible, use a plush, microfiber drying towel

– Apply iron fallout remover on the entire vehicle (including wheels) and let dwell for at least 5 minutes. DO NOT let it dry on the vehicle

– Thoroughly rinse the entire vehicle

– Carry out another two-bucket wash with fresh water in each of the buckets

– Dry the vehicle, preferably using a contact-free method (i.e. a blower or filtered water). If this is not possible, use a plush, microfiber drying towel

– Apply tar & glue remover on the vehicle below the windows and let dwell for at least 5 minutes. DO NOT let it dry on the vehicle

– Thoroughly rinse the entire vehicle

– Carry out another two-bucket wash with fresh water in each of the buckets

– Dry the vehicle, preferably using a contact-free method (i.e. a blower or filtered water). If this is not possible, use a plush, microfiber drying towel

– Apply synergy boost as a coating topper. This sacrificial layer helps prolong the life of your coating and its hydrophobic properties. If you do not have a ceramic coating, this acts as a mild paint protection and drying aid

Yesterday was a very long and busy day for us completing six Full Valet Packages with six very happy customers!

On top of this we had a client in with his stunning Audi RSQ3. He wanted to watch us and learn how to correctly complete a safe wash on his vehicle, of course we said yes!

He was asking all the right questions about dwell time, panel heat, what products we use and recommend and much more. As detailers, we love it when a client has such an intrest in proper car care, looking into the finer details.

One of our jobs for yesterday was carrying out a Full Valet Package on this RR-Sport.

The customer has only owned it for a few weeks but wanted to maintain that fresh feel and booked for one of our services, sadly the vehicle was covered in slippery dash shine that we had to remove that the dealership applied but that was no issue for us!
