ARJ Chocolate
ARJ chocolate is a local business selling handmade chocolates of all kinds and flavours. There's som
Hello Everyone,
I know I haven't posted in ages but I'm still taking maternity leave. Aimee is now 15months old and to think I started the business when my eldest was 18months old now 9yrs old.
I'll be taking this Christmas off again but I haven't made the decision because I don't want to make the chocolate but I've also based it on costs because my old pricing of ยฃ2.50 per 80g bar would have to increase to a huge ยฃ4.00 per bar, I question whether anyone would buy chocolate bars costing that much.
And if no one did I'd be left with alot of stock.
There's alot of work that goes into my products from the ingredients labels to making I don't currently have the 7+ hrs a day I'd spend at Christmas season to spare I have about 2hrs. Which is alot less.
I hope you all understand but also on the other hand if you would pay ยฃ4 for a chocolate bar from us let us know because it would be interesting.
Best wishes and I hope you all have a wond festive season
Arrianne ARJ chocolate.
It's a little short notice and apologies for not posting for so long but we're on BBC radio Wiltshire at around 8:30am if your listening. We'll be chatting about the shelf life of Easter eggs. After one lady kept one for 90yrs! ๐ฒ
๐๐Happy New year everyone ๐๐
Raspberry, orange and hazelnut Brownie is in the oven. Aimee has been super good today and watched me sort the chocolate cupboard out.
I now know what I have and can offer.
I plan to offer the following
๐ญLolly making kits includes festive transfer sheet
๐ญยฃ6.00๐ญ
๐Cracker kits (containing cracker boxes left from last year) this will be chocolate buttons to make and fill. Will include festive 100's and 1000's
๐ยฃ7.00๐
I have some bars of chocolate which will be posted up in a separate post.
So this year we're not making chocolate but I have said if I managed to do anything I'd post it up so here is what me and Aimee made today (well just me ๐) Aimee sat in her chair watching the traffic outside the window.
Homemade snow globe. I wanted to give this a go and now I know it works I have a use for glass jars and these will be made for Christmas presents for family or friends it's very easy to do although I haven't found many items to go inside the jar that'll withstand water. I've found alot of decorations are made from wood and won't be suitable.
๐๐Would anyone be interested in some make your own kits with either crackers or Christmas packaging should we have any left from previous years? ๐๐
This is something we could put together easily.
They would retail somewhere between ยฃ5.00-ยฃ8.00 if anyone is interested at all please comment YES ๐๐
We went to watch Trowbridge light switch on tonight, it's the first time since starting ARJ chocolate normally I have been in the civic centre selling all the wonderful chocolate. How I do miss making it this year.
But all the children and families did amazing with their lanterns in the lantern parade and the fireworks were lovely before we all headed home.
We'll be off down to the Christmas fair tomorrow to check the stalls out properly.
With Christmas coming up it feels so weird not to be part of any Fairs or making any kind of chocolate ๐ ๐ซ this is the first year in 7years we've not done anything (apart from covid - but we still sold directly)
This time last year we were getting ready for all of our events and up until very late packing and labelling.
If we get time we may make some small chocolate treats if anyone would be interested?
Taking a break this Christmas.....
Dear all customers we've now decided that we are officially taking a break this Christmas to watch baby Aimee grow up but we shall be back next year when the time is right.
Our opening hours on website, page, and Google will all be updated as soon as we can.
As always if we make anything and have a recipe for you we'll put up a post ๐
Making a one off box of chocolates for a wedding. Something simple because we haven't much chocolate in but working with what we have.
Baby Aimee is still asleep from the school run ๐ฎ

Hello everyone,
I know alot of you don't want to think about the dreaded c word just yet but...as you know we plan for Christmas around now.
๐๐๐๐
We need to ask all of our lovely customers what you think because as you know Arrianne had baby Aimee this year and hasn't made any chocolate since May this year.
๐ฒThe decision for Christmas this year hangs in the balance and it's a big one because this year we will not be at any event's at all. (This first time in 6 years ๐ฎ)
๐ฒSo if you are a regular customer would you be interested if a few of our best selling products from last year were available on a strictly made to order basis. (We're talking 4/5products max)
โฌ๏ธโฌ๏ธPlease please comment belowโฌ๏ธโฌ๏ธ this means alot to us because we just don't know what to do.
๐ฒOur business customer is yet to be approached but if they are wanting chocolate for Christmas this year then I can't see why we can't add a little extra on top if it's possible.
๐ฒOne extra note to add if we do not make chocolate this Christmas it doesn't mean we will disappear or close, it just means Arrianne is watching baby Aimee grow up and when she's old enough we will resume or when it is possible too.
So...the cake yesterday I got round to baking it and taking out the oven. Quickly made buttercream and then that was it.
I've been up since about 5:30am fed Aimee and then it was time to get the school stuff and breakfast ready but I had some extra time ...
What do I do at 6:30am on a Thursday
Voila finish the cake.
It was supposed to be filled with marmalade I had none of my homemade stuff left so it was filled with homemade blackberry jam from last year.
Can't wait to taste.
For the recipe see my last post.
Hey everyone
I hope your all well?
So today I'm trying to make a cake as we've tons of egg's from magic bags bought at weekend. I mean like 5 boxes ๐คฃ
We went. Blackberry picking this morning and found just enough for the cake ๐ฐ
Baby Aimee was as good as gold while I was mixing it up and stayed quiet enough just until they it went into the oven and then she was hungry.
Fingers crossed we can get it done in time.
Blackberry & orange cake Try a twist on layered sponge cake with blackberries, zesty oranges and marmalade in place of your usual filling. Pipe the topping for a professional look
God bless the Queen. Such sad sad news.
Hi all
Keep a lookout on too good to go app,

Too Good To Go
Hello Everyone!
I hope your doing well, not going to stir crazy now we're at the end of the summer holidays! Only a few more days left to go until school starts safe to say we'll be glad if a routine.
We just wanted to let you all know as over this week alone we've seen at least 3-4 local businesses post their sad news that they are having to close due to the rising costs in energy for commercial businesses. At least 3 of them have been in Trowbridge, and many others having to make tough decisions.
We wanted to let you know that because ARJ chocolate is run from home we do not plan on closing the business although Arrianne will still be on maternity leave until further notice, until baby Aimee is a bit older.
Take care everyone, and we shall be posting up next week with some clearance chocolate.
