Eliza Carthy just joined him and reminded us how talented she is. A timely reminder ahead of her performance on 30th November.

You spoke and we listened! One of our most regulsr feedbacks is, that if youre new to The Pump you don't actually know where it is in the pub.

So here is our new "rustic" signage.

We have an incredible external board going up too, to replace the old chalk board, which we hope to see some time this month!

Latest folded flyer... verges on fanzine territory? Akin to Sticky Mikes old flyers. Anyway, I did get the Dancehall info wrong, as they're a trio from London. In my defence it was a tight deadline and I was using a previous incarnation of the flyer and blah blah blah. Mistakes happen. Dancehall still rock. Hard.

Today is exactly 2 weeks of unprecedented daily ticket sales! Thank you all so much!

We have another UK underground punk show to announce for a *Wednesday night*.... yep. Make sure you come to that mid-week madness.

We've had the mock image back for our new black board and it's **UTTERLY INCREDIBLE**. We're working with a local artist and they've done such an incredible job.

It really tells the average passer byer what The Pump is all about!

We're ready to announce some amazing shows in Spring 2025 too.

HELLO GANG,

In a wonderful turn of events, we've reimagined our relationship with Wadworths & The Lamb in Trowbridge. This now means that we can offer some free entry shows each month.

This means that we can now make the venue more accessible to those who can't necessarily financially access quality live music.

It also means that if you haven't experienced all that is happening at The Pump or indeed at The Lamb, you now have risk-free opportunity and then perhaps you'll return to a show that has to be ticketed!

It's really important that we stress and underline what we feel is the value of music. Music shouldn't be free. Artists need to be paid, and given an opportunity to grow to bigger sphere's, but if you're playing the Pump right now or visiting as a fan of live music, and whether it's charged or free entry, you'll be guaranteed a first class reception and experience.

With that in mind we'd like to announce or next free entry shows...

Friday 4th October - FREE ENTRY: Ben Waller & The Tell Tale Signs w/ Chandra

RATHER BIG NEWS...

On September 21st at 10am Huey Morgan will be premiering Theo on BBC6MUSIC and letting me DJ for the last half hour of the show!

To say this is a huge honour is an understatement. I honestly can't wait. Not only will you get to hear a few tracks from my most precious album but I'll be spinning some of my all time favourite songs AND putting a spotlight on ALL the Folk Boy Records artists!

Everyone has love for Eliza Carthy, Gaz Brookfield, Thomas Benjamin Wild and there were sales for every other show too!

We're in a constant phase of development. And the next things to be updated is the signage.

Wadworths have promised to re-paint the diamonds at each end the building, so we'll share pictures when we can. We imagine that they'll be perfunctory, but they have taken pictures of our latest painted one, so hoping they follow suit and do something in keeping, but perhaps in the Wadworth colour scheme?

Either way, we have roped in local artist Samuel Lindup to help re-create our external/roadside notice/chalk-board!

We're really excited about this, as the plan is to really set The Pump apart and make it visually exciting to people passing by. We're going all 3D too, as a statement piece.

There will also be some internal signage too helping point first timers to our performance space.

So no let up, working with the best people, to continually keep the experience fresh and exciting for YOU!

OH, and we're going to be doing 1 free entry show a month too from now on. To encourage more people to check out the space, to platform more artists to play to more accessible crowds.

THE LAMB too had had a transformation. The old "junction" nightclub/skittle alley has been turned into a cosy, welcoming live music space. With the same PA we have in the Pump, so it's loud, it's crystal clear, looks, sounds and feels amazing!

We have booked an absolute mammoth of a musician for February 2025.

It will be expensive for our little venue, but will provide an completely unmissable and once-in-a-lifetime experience!
