…and that’s a wrap! Our order books are closed for 2023 and all orders have either been delivered or are for booked in for delivery this afternoon. Big thank you to everyone that has supported my little business this year, I wouldn’t be able to do it without your support!

It’s not something that’s normally celebrated here in the UK, but I’ve been asked to create a door wreath for Thanksgiving and I’ve loved getting creative with autumnal foliages and berries!

The next lot of wreaths I’ll be making will be Christmas ones!

Making a mess… but when it’s as pretty as this I don’t want to clear it up!

I don’t like wasting flowers but sometimes certain parts just aren’t as good as the rest and they end up on the floor! If you go to any florist shop or studio you’ll find lots of leaves, stems and petals on the floor under the florist’s feet. Somehow we always miss the bin!

I compost all my green waste but perhaps I should do something more creative with the flowers that don’t make the grade… what would you do?

I’ve been meaning to share this stunning pic of the beautiful Jessica with her gorgeous bridesmaids for a long time!

I’ve had lots of wedding enquiries for both this year and next and I’ve been spending the past month or so meeting with couples to discuss their wedding flowers and writing up proposals. The prettiest of blooms for a birthday celebration celebrated in style at the gorgeous

Lots of lovely pastel flowers in bud vases adorned the tables (just look at that window!) and big vases of flowers for the reception room.

If you haven’t worked out my favourite flower by now then you might need to look a bit harder… not really, it’s the Rose!

This bouquet is aptly named the Rose Garden, featuring large headed Roses and smaller spray Roses along with Lisianthus which is also known as the Chinese Rose.

It’s one of my most popular bouquets and it’s easy to see why so many of you love it, I certainly do!

Not only is sun shining but we have made it into March and my favourite season, Spring!

Did you receive a beautiful bouquet of flowers yesterday?

All of our bouquets come with care instructions but as a reminder…

Firstly, if they came in water, snip the water bubble over the sink to release the water. Once it’s fully drained, remove all the packaging

Next, fill a clean vase with water (tepid is best) and add flower food. Check the directions on the flower food packet as to how to make it up and give it a good stir

Using sharp scissors (preferably ones you dedicate to cutting flowers or using in the garden) trim the ends of the stems by about 5cm and on a 45 degree angle. By cutting on an angle you ensure the stem won’t sit flush on the bottom of the vase and it also provides the largest surface area for water uptake

If you want you can snip the tie binding the bouquet to create a looser effect (or if you have too many flowers for your vase) or you can leave it tied and pop it straight into your vase

Lastly keep the flowers out of direct sunlight, away from draughts and depending on where you place them, away from fruit. This it to prolong their life so you get to enjoy them for longer!

I would personally change the water (and clean the vase) every other day and re trim the stems to keep them fresher for longer. As the week goes on, if there are any wilted flowers remove them and if you think they might have some life left in them, cut them really short and put in a bud vase
