Yesterday was one of those days when I genuinely thought ‘do I really get paid to have this much fun?!’ I was out early for back to back meetings to wrap up another busy week, visiting two previous families who have instructed for phase 2 of home renovations. We discussed kitchen design, lighting plans, furniture schemes, paint palettes, joinery and much more! And all of the above gave me such a huge smile on my face…it’s a privilege to curate designs that will improve well being, bring joy and ultimately enhance lives. All the while having a load of fun too!
I am, and forever will be, grateful to love what I do and work with such a passionate team, delivering elegant designs day in day out for clients and developers. The day ended hosting for my dear friend and her family, indulging in some well deserved champers! Off for a beautiful sunny dog walk now…enjoy the sunshine everyone 😘

Where it all began! Working as a design assistant for the super talented (and super lovely!) we delivered private client projects and development show homes in some of Londons most desirable postcodes. Samantha and I actually met when planning our weddings, and quickly realised we had the same eye for detail! The experience I gained working with Samantha and her team was invaluable and gave me the confidence to set up my own interior design studio after having my daughter. This year I hope to visit Samantha again in Mallorca, where she is now based and planning a stunning self build - the plans can only be described as Balearic perfection! Here are photos from a show home project in Richmond which we installed for a developer who was selling two beautiful period houses after extensive luxury refurbishments. Following on from my last post, here’s the family bathroom design we curated for clients updating their beautiful Victorian home. I recall their faces when I suggested black walls, but thankfully they loved the end result! Some of the best design decisions are the bold ones, but I always try to achieve a calming balance in my schemes, considering space, scale, pattern and colour. Simplicity is always a winner in my eyes! I will share the before photos on my stories. Bathroom installation by Photography by Window treatments by

With projects secured for 2024 and 2025, I couldn’t be more grateful or excited about the coming year and beyond. And this morning I had a meeting with previous clients who have asked me to return to assist with phase 2 and possibly phase 3, of their beautiful Victorian townhouse, positioned perfectly in a super pretty and desirable Tunbridge Wells town centre spot. There’s nothing quite like a previous client asking you back! Inevitably as designers, however confident we are in our schemes and service, the validation a returning client brings is incredibly rewarding. I’m currently running ten private client projects and six of these are with families or individuals who have asked Joss Miller Interiors to provide design services for the next phase of their home renovations or improvements, which is very reassuring … and gives me a lovely warm feeling inside! I will continue to throw my whole heart into new designs and do my upmost to create dream homes for my clients. If they are happy, I am happy! I thought I’d share a bathroom shot from a previous master en-suite project with this post as we have been asked to return for phase 2 and are currently working on designs for a new formal living room and orangery, after working with these lovely clients on various spaces in their impressive Victorian property. I will share more photos on stories including before shots. Bathroom installation by photography by window treatments by #2024 #2025

Looking back at the last town centre development project completed with the team and so proud of the architectural and interior design we executed in these 8 apartments. Swipe to see the master bed & en-suite photos too. Currently designing 3 period apartments with the team in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, and despite the (freezing!) cold mornings on site recently, I’m so excited to see these properties full of warmth & love again! Whilst adding character back to this beautiful building, we’ve been keen to add modern touches too, to keep the designs current and appealing to a wide range of buyers. We hold Nevill Row dear in our hearts, and no doubt we will cherish these too

Following on from my previous post, here is the kitchen redesign we completed for clients in their beautiful, secluded cottage in Hungershall Park, Tunbridge Wells. Swipe for the before shots - I love this transformation! We reconfigured the space to include a kitchen island & pantry, added sky lights to flood the space with natural light and combined Card Room Green on the cabinetry with Stirabout on the walls, connecting the space to the lush garden. It was a pleasure to work with on this project, who carried out the works & kitchen joinery. The limestone effect porcelain floor tiles achieved a country cottage aesthetic whilst also providing the family with a practical, low maintenance option. Installation executed by and the clients are now enjoying this space whilst embarking on a garden redesign with to complete the project. The clients have asked Joss Miller Interiors to return for the 3rd phase later this year which will include a stunning formal living room. Project photography by The client said ‘Joss handled our indecisiveness in her stride finally presenting us with a design & colour palette that we loved. We adore our new, larger & brighter kitchen.’

First post of 2024, hope you like it insta!Project photography completed at the end of last year by and swipe to see the bathroom elevation drawings created by for the fabulous design & build installation team. These drawings not only provide the client with a good visual to imagine and approve, they also ensure a smooth installation process, causing minimal disruption to the family. I have worked with this client on various phases of renovations of this idyllic cottage nestled within the highly sought after Hungershall Park in Tunbridge Wells, and following a kitchen and dining space redesign the family asked Joss Miller Interiors back to curate a new family bathroom. This bathroom scheme is classic and homely to complement this period cottage. We added a modern twist with an elegant mix of hardware styles and finishes, and the wall lighting and pendant met the client brief to ‘add a touch of industrial’. The neutral palette and modest goods keep the room feeling spacious and practical for family life, whilst achieving a sense of calm and relaxation. Swipe to see the gorgeous pattern pop with the floor tiles. The vanity unit was hand painted in Selvedge whilst the walls are Skimming Stone. The client said ‘We were so pleased with Joss’ kitchen design that we brought her back for the family bathroom. We had lots of requests, including a separate bath and shower albeit in a tight space and plenty of storage. Joss made great use of the space and now we have a modern and stylish bathroom that still ties in with the historic look of our home.’

Fully prepped and ready for 2024 with a new logo which I’ve been finalising over the festive break … and here it is ❤️ Thank you to branding consultant and designer for your creativity. A strong and satisfying end to the year with the show home at the Hungershall Mews development now under offer! Lots of interest in the other two plots too, so together with the development team, I am thrilled. I consulted with the team on the interiors for this development and curated the show home scheme for Plot B, bringing this former stables back to life and filling it with love, cosiness, sophistication and bundles of warmth. The interior finishes and show home scheme complement each other throughout, balancing a neutral feminine palette with natural materials and textures to achieve a layered design that is calming, cosy and stylish - and appealing to range of buyers. A soft paint colour with a hint of baby pink sits perfectly alongside the masculinity of the Crittal internal doors and glazing, whilst further monochrome home decor accessories, lighting and soft furnishings pull the scheme together. Each component has its moment, but nothing over powers the other, providing the buyer with an overall feeling as soon as they walk through the door…and I’m so pleased that now one buyer calls this plot home ❤️ Swipe to see more shots of this gorgeous property and to book a viewing please contact Photography by

As we all prepare to serve up a feast for loved ones and indulge in one festive cocktail after another (that’s not just me right??) I wanted to share this exquisite kitchen design with you all! This is the largest of the 3 plots at the beautiful Hungershall Mews development in Tunbridge Wells. When designing properties together we are dedicated to designing homes that work practically, and aesthetically, in equal measure. We deliberate over the layout, style, colour palette and lighting (and all the finer details!) over and over. Until (we believe!) we have curated homes that offer buyers everything they could ask for from a home. These are not just properties to sell, but bespoke luxury homes for people to enjoy for years! As promised, here are some more photos from the stunning Hungershall Mews project. Bedroom schemes full of warmth, style and texture, texture, and more texture! Working with the development team on this mews project, we curated the layouts, interior palette and finishes early in the design phase to develop CGIs for marketing - and I knew the choices would make for the perfect show home scheme when complete. I recall how I imagined these characterful, tucked away homes feeling… I wanted buyers to feel these properties were giving them a warm hug as they walked in from the country path ; a cosy, rustic feel albeit within a sophisticated and luxurious space. I opted for a cosy oatmeal paint colour throughout, an ideal backdrop for marble effect vanity units and kitchen worktops, along with statement metal accents, fresh linens and textural fabrics such as white boucle in the bedrooms. A black metal framed bed, marble lamps and oak bedsides in the guest bedroom of the show home make for the perfect blend of materials. Swipe to see the gorgeous boucle panelled headboard in the master - and the prettiest of brass wall lights. Calming & cosy. The show home furniture & fabric scheme throughout is layered over and over to create an interiors scheme full of depth and interest and most of all, complement the designs of these homes and their unique rural spot, tucked away within the highly sought after Hungershall Park in Tunbridge Wells. Photos by contact to view the show home and the other two fabulous plots, I don’t think they’ll be available for long!

Possibly the perfect blend of past & present…Hungershall Mews, Hungershall Park, Tunbridge Wells. Certainly one of my proudest design achievements since embarking on a career in interiors, and one of my the most enjoyable and rewarding projects to have collaborated on with the development team. Not a single decision taken without meticulous consideration about the design practicalities and the desired aesthetic. From days on site last winter deliberating layouts, to late night meetings discussing kitchen and bathroom designs, trawling through concept images and samples, finalising CGI images for marketing… to the recent staging of the show home and show spaces.
I remember the first meetings well, and how I pictured the design, and interiors scheme, of these mews houses from the very beginning - classic, modern & rustic - and decisions made right from the start were made with that vision in mind. I’m so proud of the team…remembering to be current yet sympathetic to the history of the properties and achieving a timeless style that felt homely and considered throughout... and the development team and dedicated trades on site ensured the ex*****on and standard was unrivalled.
The professional shoot photos are now in from Mikey Reed and I can’t wait to share them all with you. Over the next week or two I’ll share the photos and the design journey, culminating in what is the perfect mews development in the perfect Tunbridge Wells location.
Here are the photos of the show home master suite in Plot B - because let’s face it, as the nights draw in we all need a sanctuary like this at the end of the day! Contact to view this development whilst it is still available!

After a super precious visit to see a uni friend and her newborn baby girl (gorgeous!) yesterday it got me thinking about those early days as a mother at home…and how important it is to have a calming, relaxing and nurturing space to bond and adjust to the adventure ahead.
Since setting up my interiors business I’ve been fortunate enough to design a number of nurseries (as a designer this has to be among the most enjoyable and rewarding projects!) and the brief has always been to curate a space that is stylish yet practical. Here’s one I designed for a lovely Tunbridge Wells family who instructed Joss Miller Interiors to help them with improvements throughout their beautiful Victorian townhouse, including further bedrooms and living spaces.
We knew we were planning for a baby boy, so here I presented a safari scheme, albeit with a muted, sophisticated sage green palette, full of texture and warmth.
The scheme included a feature wallpaper wall, a statement door colour, classic white furniture, a bespoke mini wardrobe, a contemporary pendant and we dressed the window nook with cosy fabrics for those snuggle moments. I’m looking forward to working with this family again on a new kitchen diner project soon.

A holiday that warrants some pics on the grid for sure! Crete 2023 😎🧡 so thankful to see the beautiful ocean and relax with my family in the sunshine. Our fourth year on a Greek island and it didn’t disappoint! So grateful that my daughter loves the water, she spent her time either playing mermaids with pals in the pool, or snorkelling in the clear blue waters. My husband and I also managed to relax and be present for her and each other. Feeling refreshed and excited to be back on site tomorrow. With current residential and commercial projects taking me well into 2024 I’m glad I had a little rest to refuel! And isn’t it fabulous to have an unexpected heatwave to end the UK summer…especially when you have a decent tan to show off!

On site today with my new styling assistant! Swipe for some action shots of my daughter Megan (7) trying her hand at show home design 💕. She loved checking out the recent development and she’s considering an offer for her favourite plot as we speak! In all seriousness it was lovely to show her more about Mummy’s work, and introduce her to the team on site. My last work day today before a two week break and trip to our beloved Greece. I pursued my passion for interiors after becoming a mum, so I guess I have Megan to thank for my new career and small business which is growing every year. I’m very thankful that this year when I’m away I now have the support of a design assistant (not my 7 year old daughter!) who can keep projects moving in my absence and allow me to be fully present with my family in the sun! Looking forward to feeling refreshed on my return and seeing the professional photos of the Hungershall Mews show home when I am back at my desk. For more details about this beautiful development contact or and be prepared to be wowed by this stunning location and high end interiors finish

Work hard play hard, always a slightly harder juggle during holidays! But today I took a rare mid week day off whilst my daughter enjoyed to catch up with dear university pals, including one who is back from Qatar. And over a bottle of champers a girls trip to Doha is now in the planning for summer 2024! Nothing quite like a lunch with gal pals you’ve known for over 20 years, to remind you of the balance you must try to find on every level of your personal and professional life. Thank you ladies. And after a little time out, I realised I haven’t posted properly on Instagram for two months… so here goes with updates. I’m currently completing designs for two large scale residential interior design projects, including the renovation & extension of a beautiful period 6 bed property in Matfield village, and the renovation of a 6 bed contemporary home in Langton Green, just outside Tunbridge Wells. Two very different, but equally exciting projects. These local clients will benefit immensely from the change of layout and improved interiors, so much so that I believe their general well being will be enhanced beyond what they could’ve ever imagined.
Small changes, big changes, I love how the redesign of a home can literally change lives. When I started my business 5 years ago, I wanted to play a role in helping people make these changes, and since then I’ve had an absolute ball being part of these journeys. I’m also very fortunate to be part of the incredible team, working alongside the development, design & homestaging arms of this business, to provide exceptionally designed homes and beautifully dressed show houses across the south east.
Personal updates include an exciting summer ahead with my daughter (now 7) family & friends, including a trip to Crete in August. Heading home now after an amazing day at and I’ll be back at my design desk tomorrow morning to push projects forward…

Officially OOO this week for some chilled, family time in the Isle of Wight. Home for now is a beautifully dressed Victorian townhouse with a back yard path to the sea (swipe for this pretty stroll shot!). After a very busy start to 2023, it’s nice to take a step back and breathe, and I already feel more focused about work on my return (just 24 hours in!). I couldn’t resist a little bit of concept work this morning in fact, whilst enjoying a cuppa in bed! I feel truly blessed to love what I do, be surrounded by loved ones and to be spending a week in a stunning, characterful holiday home that is currently drenched in gorgeous sunshine! Wishing you all a fabulous week ahead

Following on from my last post here’s the gorgeous kitchen design destined for the latest development in Tunbridge Wells (CGI image). In reality the ceiling height is even more generous, giving this mews house a rather unexpected feeling of grandeur! We deliberated for a while about the black island, but it packs some punch amongst this sophisticated, neutral space so we went for it! I can imagine the buyer hosting many a fabulous evening in this stunning space that leads out onto a spacious garden. And on that note, happy Friday all! I’m off to find some aperol in the sunshine 😎

Photos from jossmillerinteriors's post 13/05/2023

Reflecting on the past week this morning with a cuppa in the sunshine ☀️ this week consisted of a residential design presentation for a 6 bedroom extension and renovation project, a show home installation and interior meetings for two beautiful new property developments (not to mention supplier meetings, sourcing, site visits etc!) If anyone had said this would be a typical week for me 5 years ago when I set up my business I would’ve laughed! The challenge now is the work/life balance but I’m super grateful for the challenge all the same. I take such joy from helping people redesign their homes, knowing that the changes will ultimately benefit their well being. Whether looking after children, entertaining for family & friends or working from home. I was thrilled with my client’s reaction this week when I presented 4 new bathroom designs to her for a renovation she’s been dreaming of for several years. Inevitably there will be a few small tweaks but overall she loved my designs and schemes. So that meeting brought happiness & relief! The collaboration with on home staging and property development is also super busy and super exciting! Here’s a CGI of the master bathroom we have designed at their latest development, Hungershall Mews. A true gem in an incredibly sought after postcode. This week sees the windows and doors being installed, and more progress on the interiors, on track for summer completion as planned. The homestaging diary is also packed with stunning developments which we can’t wait to transform soon! So following an intense week I’m looking forward to an afternoon in the sunshine with girlfriends enjoying some delicious cocktails. Enjoy this sunny Saturday everyone!

Just sharing a little bit about me after receiving some new followers recently (thank you & hello!). I run Joss Miller Interiors, providing interior design and home staging services in Kent, Sussex and London to private clients and developers. You’ll find me in a hard hat on site, working remotely in a town cafe or hotel between meetings, or loading my car full of project samples (and more often than not cushions and faux flowers for show homes!). I set my small business up after having my daughter, who is almost 7, and I’m so grateful to say it has gone from strength to strength - with 2023 set to be the busiest, most challenging and rewarding year yet. I often pinch myself when I think of how lucky I am to be part of such beautiful home renovation projects and property developments. I’m very proud of what I have achieved and protective of my brand and my style, but recently took the decision to develop an assistants role and I’m hoping this year I will get better at delegation (please share any tips!) But I also don’t want to lose touch of why I started my business in the first place - to help people make their homes sanctuaries where they can relax, laugh, thrive and create … and although I love the big projects, I love the small ones equally as much. This photo was taken recently during a staging installation with the team, and we dressed this dining space for those special extravagant dinner parties, but also for someone to appreciate this space as a tiny piece of tranquility where they could enjoy a peaceful cuppa, flooded with natural daylight and with a stunning view of beautiful Tunbridge Wells!
