A stunning statement climber, the rambling rose, winding its way up a Sambucus and making waves of floral impact. The petals filled the garden with confetti in the wind ☁️

J U N E | Three beautiful plants that are in flower in the garden in early June: Fox Gloves, Kew Garden Rose, Nectaroscordum (a bulb you plant in the Autumn along with your other alliums bulbs). A beautiful and calming combination.

June in the Garden — Mackintosh Martin Gardening Chelsea Flower Show At the end of May, Liza visited the Chelsea Flower show. It is a fantastic place to see planting combinations, new plant developments and the wonderful show gardens. ‘It was a wonderful experience and exploring the show gardens was a highlight. I loved the emphasis on trees

Tranquil blues & purple tone choices we have chosen for a calming pot display for a lovely client in Mayfield. We can’t wait to see them planted out.

The T U L I P drama this year ~ so much colour & beautiful form, all from one pot of tulips by the door. I loved how the flowers staggered, the white Tulipa Evita appearing first, followed by the deep purple and finally the pink. The pink tulip has also shifted in colour, being pale at first & then warming up. This has been my first time growing tulips at home & it’s definitely been worth the beauty it has brought to the garden. We will be sending out tulip guides in Autumn for you to add this drama and early interest into your garden next year.

I love the creative process of planning client’s beds and planting combinations. Lots of planting jobs at the moment to keep us busy. Can’t wait to see the new plants in the gardens later this month 🤍

Spring in our lovely clients gardens this month. It is so exciting to start seeing blooms and bulbs popping up.

These bulbs were ordered and planted last October and November for our clients to have a beautiful display this time of year.

We have started mowing, mulching, planting as well as continuing our weeding and pruning work. Our team can’t wait to work in your gardens this April. Happy Easter from the team at Mackintosh Martin Gardening.
