Christmas is such a magical time in a village- it certainly makes us feel grateful to be surrounded by friendly neighbours and to live in such a picturesque place.

Speldhurst Range has always hoped to encapsulate everything that's good about this lovely place we call home in the Kent countryside. How has it been getting back into the new routine?

I don't know about you but it feels like we've all hit the ground running this September! All systems go!

Did you know that Speldhurst has 27 listed buildings and 76 listed gravestones?

History indicates that by around AD 1000 there was a church in Speldhurst. After the Norman Conquest the church had its own parish.

For such a small village there sure is a lot of history to celebrate here!

The lovely bowling green is tucked away in the corner of the recreation ground and has a mixed club of 30+ members with a full fixture list playing friendly matches against local clubs. It's also open to social players so why not pop along?

As we're now knee-deep into the summer holidays we thought we'd share some of our favourite spots in Speldhurst.

First up is Speldhurst Reaction Ground and playground. We're so lucky to have such a lovely open space in the centre of our village. Whether you're walking your dog on the rec, spending an afternoon hanging out at the swings and climbing frame, playing a game of bowls or throwing some balls in the cricket nets, if you've made a purchase from the Speldhurst Range you can be proud that you've supported this space.
