Arsenal’s plan to stop Man City on Sunday 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Very rare pathology here, Tibial plateau fracture post skiing accident.
Very impressed with the amount of detail the French medical experts went into and the information that was released , MRI, X-rays, report,
now we push on with 3 months manual therapy rehabilitation back to full functionality. ✋
Don’t leave things to chance. MZ9 Fitness for all things rehabilitation.
So so proud of this lady, a long term patient of mine, basal ganglia stroke, very rare but the deformity around the lower limb post stroke leaves patients with severe gait problem including loss of balance, coordination, etc…..
She is now 6 weeks post surgery, for a MTP joint fusion, second PIP joint fusion, and proximal hemiphalengectomy and 4 PIP joint fusions.
It took a long time to convince Anne to have the operation and build her confidence around her biomechanics, and with the help of all the staff at the Horder Centre she is in a great place to start to embrace her new movements!

I don’t chase Pain !!!!!
Hate putting the weights away, Nay bother, chuck in a drop set and enjoy the fruits of a tidy gym and strong strong ness! 🤙🤙✅
Nice simple tweak here for a long distance open water swimmer with hypertonic rotator cuff infraspinatus.
Reduced internal rotation acromial clavicle joint dysfunction-elevated scapula increasing the compression causing pain and discomfort.
Using the prone cobra with internal rotation , loosening off his posterior scapula muscles, rehab to improve his mechanics, and a change in his periodisation including swapping his stroke and stroke rate.
If you’re looking for good rehab, manual therapy and strength and conditioning to improve your sport.

First patient done- bilateral proximal hamstring tendonosis, compressed hip joint, shallow socket, history femoral neck fracture.
This is a prime reason why I don’t chase the site of pain, of course I do some work in the hamstrings, but education for the patient on why, and what needs to happen is so important!
For more information on not chasing pain through good diagnosis, treatment and rehab!

Another day, another knee replacement.
Peter 69 years, 20+ years of activity bone on bone, signed up for 3 months therapy/training, why??
This is how long it’s going to take to be able to load him sufficiently with a balanced body to absorb the load.
Now Peter is extremely active, big walk planned in southern Tibet, he wants to join in with our S+C classes at MZ9 Fitness which are high demand big results but require the balance.
Everybody doesn’t need this amount of detail obviously but there is a infinite difference in the stability, postural adaptation needed to increase strength and power than someone who just wants to be pain free and walk their dog.
This is where an advanced programme design certification is essential in diagnosis right through to full S+C! 🏋️♀️🏋️♀️

Bilateral full knee replacement, it’s astonishingly what the surgeons can do to a persons pain and discomfort, so many war stories, but when it’s needed it can be literally life transformation time!
Post op 4 weeks, less pain, 110 degrees left, 120 right, reduced movement in rotation, extension, flexion.
I don’t put pins in it, I don’t tape him up, I don’t give him two useless band exercises, or ultra sound with the promise of breaking down scar tissue, (you cannot break down scar tissue)!!!
What I do do, is good sound soft tissue, joint articulation, mobility, corrective exercise and functional strength exercise looking at all joints in 3D, what are the patients expectations and how and why some patients take longer comes down to the systematic approach to movement based biomechanics. He’s in good hands. 🙌

How ankle sprains affect our brain In the dynamic world of athletics, the prevalence of ankle sprains poses a substantial risk, with an alarming incidence rate of 11.3 ankle sprains per 1000 athlete exposures. Here’s a nice ikkle exercise I put together to work on my acceleration hip flexion and shoulder flexion same side.
Your glutes do a lot more than just sagittal plane hip extension, if that were the case it wouldn’t be a ball and socket joint!!
Here are some of their movements.
Hip extension on the stance leg ✅
Slows down hip Flexion on the moving leg ✅
Stabilises the stance leg so you can flex the opposite hip ✅
Slows down the valgus force going through the knee on the moving leg along with hamstrings/calves ✅
Posterior rotation of the pelvis on the moving leg with the abdominals ✅
Locks up the sacroiliac joint on one side and mobilises it on the opposite side ✅
Give it ago , remember kettlebells need to be moved quick, this needs to done in less than 1 second, my left is much slower, that’s why it’s in there!! ✋✅✅
New gym coming in April, get your name down or you’re not coming in!! 💪💪💪
No words needed! 🏋️♀️🏋️♀️ MZ9 Fitness
Neck rotates one way, mid back rotates the other, lower back side bends one way, one hip rotates/flexes and abducts, the other extends……. I could go on!
Structure governs function…….function governs structure…. 🤫🤫
Nice to know I can still do this, and belong to the top 5% in the country regards strength, not pretty anymore but still a bit left in the old tank.
Bench press 1 x body weight
Sled push 1.3 x body weight
Squat 1.5 x body weight
Dead lift 2 x body weight

Decathlete who I see regularly hobbled in today, after this fall at a meet a few weeks ago during the hurdles, left knee, right hip, right sacroiliac joint, post shoulder capsule issues.
The good news, nothing too serious, just a bit battered and bruised!
This highlights the fact that life throws a lot at you but you never know when or how, you can only put things in place to adapt, change and progress, it’s what keeps us moving forward.
As Lewis is strong, fit, mobile his recovery will be quick.

Now the January stragglers have left us for another year it’s time to get down to the business of real training.
The spring is on the horizon and the running season takes priority for some people, whether it’s a marathon, 10k, hit those 200’s on the track or just simply try and get through a run without that dreaded hamstring injury showing up again!
So I’m looking for 5 runners from the Sevenoaks area, and 5 runners from the tonbridge/tunbridge wells area to come and train with me in two locations depending on where you live.
What this is not, it is not bicep curls in the mirror, it is not a couple of static stretches, or a guess work programme without a comprehensive assessment and plan.
What it is, is a comprehensive approach to your running gait, full joint range of motion, movement analysis, and programme to enhance your running.
This will include a S +C programme, manual therapy to sort out any issues you may have and a running programme of at least 6/7 hours a week.
If you think this is for you, or you know of someone who could benefit from this package, please feel free to message me and let’s get running with efficiency and with the 3b’s I’ll tell you if you have them or not!
Thanks,
Steve.
