Introduction & Location



Tonbridge School offers a wealth of outstanding facilities. The site has a strong culture of traditional values and high performance across all aspects of the business and is constantly looking to accommodate English Language Schools to utilise the facilities whilst supporting future elite performers within many fields.Tonbridge School has a proven track record of providing residential facilities for both National and International clients. Our facilities are suitable for both male and female guests aged 8 to adult. Tonbridge School’s extensive 160 acre site is situated centrally in Tonbridge, approximately one mile from Tonbridge Railway Station and an hour from international airports, Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted. The stunning location and 500 year old buildings are outstanding and world class.










Catering

Catering requirements for all guests are provided by our on-site catering team within the Orchard Centre dining rooms which are centrally based on site.
All menus are produced on a daily basis by our own chefs, from fresh locally sourced ingredients. Menus are created with an
emphasis on healthy eating and produced with dietary and
nutritional requirements in mind. Any special dietary requirements or allergies can be catered for individually if notified prior to arrival.
Menus can be adapted to include a BBQ night and packed lunches for day trips and excursions.
















THE BOARDING HOUSES

Residential accommodation is available on site for up to 350 guests within our boarding houses. Accommodation is suitable for guests aged 8 upwards. There are seven boarding houses available. Each house is of individual character with between 45 – 60 beds, all having a selection of rooms including singles, twin & a few small dormitories.
If required houses can be segregated to accommodate male and female guests.










BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS

Bedrooms will be set up with bed linen (a mattress protector, fitted sheet, pillow and pillow protector, pillow case, duvet and cover).
The cleaning of the residential accommodation bedding and other resident’s requirements are maintained at an extremely high level.
All bathrooms and ablutions are shared within close location of the bedrooms, floor plans will be provided to assist with the suitable allocation of rooms.











CLASSROOMS & ADDITIONAL FACILITIES

In addition to high quality classrooms and bedrooms, each boarding house has further areas including refreshment rooms to make tea & coffee, TV/Cinema rooms, recreational games rooms with football tables, table tennis tables & areas to relax, drying rooms for kit and computer & printing facilities. WI-FI ACCESS Tonbridge School’s free Wi-Fi network is available across the main school site.











TUTORS

Usually the English classes are divided into 3 class groups according to the Cambridge Curriculum and Exam system levels: A1- A2 Elementary , B1-B2 Intermediate, C1-C2 Advanced.

Tutors are all CELTA and TEFL qualified since 1998. Previous tutors tutors include:-

SARAH JEAN GRIERSON - Cambridge CELTA, (pass): Randolph School of English, Edinburgh.

SARAH LILLIOT - I have also worked as a private French tutor and a TEFL qualified Teacher to Spanish students in UK.

SARAH EGAN – West Kent College CELTA qualified tutor working for 2 years Royal Spa English with Spanish and Italian students (fluent Italian speaker).
