It's packaged inside a plastic pillow pack, packaging which we have leftover from a specific project for another customer a few years ago. Since then, it's been boxed away in our warehouse, with no purpose 😢

A customer at a tasting recently asked us if our Goupie contained any vegan nonsense, and so we felt the need to warn all of our customers, that yes, indeed it does!

Goupie contains a combination of the following vegan nonsense (flavour dependent):
- 55% Belgian Chocolate
- Syrup
- Toasted Rice
- Cocoa
- Fruit
- Nuts
- Biscuit Crumb

In all seriousness, everything we make at Goupie is vegan friendly! We like to think it's nonsense friendly too 🍫🤪

Our chocolate covered marshmallows may be one of the best things we make in our little factory. At least, we think so! Every time we run a batch of marshmallows through the chocolate enrober, we put a few extra through as a mid-morning staff treat 💜🍫

Our hand-moulded chocolate eggs are filled with Raspberry Discs and Lemon Dips. This is the ultimate adult Easter Egg made from a 55% couverture chocolate. Oh, and did we mention it's completely vegan friendly and dairy-free?

Have never quite gotten over just how pretty our Raspberry Discs are 😍 they were a complete no brainer for our Celebration Towers 🍫

Our packaging is 100% recyclable and also compostable! But what about behind the scenes? We manage to generate very little waste in our factory, reusing whatever we can. Our ingredients boxes are reused when we send out trade orders, and we use our label backing as protective padding. That being said, we think we could go further! Something which we get asked regularly is how long the shelf-life of our products is.

We hand-make all of our product to order. That means that we don't hold a great deal of stock in our factory, it's very much a 'just in time' approach. Every product we sell has a shelf-life minimum of 9 months. That means that most products you buy from us now will be good until well into June...if they last that long! 😜🍫

We get a lot of comments when we tell people our products are gluten-free and vegan. MOST of the time, these comments are excited and positive, but every now and then we get something like the following:
'I like to eat meat'
'I'm gluten-free but not vegan, why mix the two?'
'Gluten-free 🤮'
To these people, we'd like to say this:
'Why are you expecting to find meat in your chocolate products?'
'An apple is both gluten-free and vegan, this is a nonsense concern.'
'Dairy milk is gluten-free, another ridiculous comment.'
Today, instead of highlighting our wonderful free-from credentials, we're going to highlight our devilishly moreish TASTE which is the only concern you should have if you have no dietary restrictions or beliefs. 🍫💜



P.S. there is a very good reason to highlight free-from credentials, as these things DO matter to a huge proportion of people, and so of course we will continue to do so regardless of comments like the above ^^ 🌱🌾
