April 14th was our last day skiing this season and how lucky were we. The fresh snow and blue skies were amazing and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. Avoriaz didn’t disappoint. Happy summer all, Snowear will be back November 2023.

Avoriaz Easter skiing. First day sun, second day white out (no skiing) day three lovely long morning skiing and then the weather started to come in! Hopefully the snow will stop and tomorrow will be powder skiing. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

Wow, what a fantastic week skiing we had in Zauchensee, Austria. The Hotel Alpenrose looked after us really well, the food was delicious and having a chair lift right next to the hotel was amazing. The snow conditions were great for the morning but slushy as the day went on. Sadly you can’t have everything and we do enjoy a bit of sunshine so have to take the good with the bad! We did the 12 Peaks Challenge, out on almost the first lift and back on the last (closed!) lift. The ski area is huge with some lovely really long runs. All our ski gear performed. We all wore various brands from the shop - Henri Du Villard, Colmar, Lutha, Dare 2b, Steiner (the new Mountain gloves are great), BUFF, Bolle, CP visor helmets, MICO socks and more. John and I are back in the shop and as the season starts to wind down have reduced some items. Come and see our under £50 rail and our £10 rail if you are looking for a bargain.

Sadly we are on our way back from Avoriaz today. We had very different ski conditions each day but loved them all. When we sell goggles at Snowear we let people know that there is a film inside them that needs to be removed, obviously this person didn’t buy their goggles from us!! I bet they couldn’t see a thing until the realised😂😂. We ended with a late lunch at the Follie Do**he, a good time was had by all!! Happy skiing everyone.

We are now open Thursday-Saturdays 10am-5pm for October. From November we will be open on Wednesdays as well. December, January, February and March we will be open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm and Sundays 10am-4pm. We look forward to seeing you all.

This season has been difficult for all of us. Although non essential shopping is allowed again we have decided to wait and see how things are before opening fully again.
