EK Colts win 5-4 on penalties.

A well contested cup tie with both teams battling throughout. There were a few chances at both ends but neither side could breakthrough. EK Colts subsequently edged it on penalties.

With our midweek game cancelled and a free week on Saturday due to player holidays we took the opportunity to revisit a Strathclyde Park pre-season session. Horrible conditions but great effort from everyone who was able to attend.

On the back of the attached post from The Funky Monkey we are delighted to announce that, in conjunction with the Horseshoe Bar Uddingston, they have stepped up to provide us with sponsorship for this season.

We will now be based out of The Horseshoe Bar, going back there after Scottish Cup and West of Scotland Cup games. Whilst larger fundraising events, such as our Speakers Day, will be held at The Funky Monkey.

Great to see that local businesses are still willing to support a local team, helping us cover the ever increasing running costs whilst supporting us with the community work and fundraising that we will continue to do.

Following our last friendly of pre-season on Saturday we attended Topgolf Glasgow for a team day out. First place going to Tommy Riley, second to Rhys Marrable and third to Sean Monaghan. Couple of training sessions to go before the competitive stuff starts back on Saturday ⚽️💪🏻🏆.

Friendly Opposition Required

We have the astro park at Hamilton Palace Sports Grounds booked on Saturday 27th July for an 11am kick off. Looking for opponents outside of our own division. 50/50 split on the costs. Get in touch if interested.

We have a grass park booked at Greenfield Football Centre for Thursday 18th July and are looking for friendly opposition. It’s a 7pm kick off and 50/50 split on the costs so £65 each team. If any teams are interested get in touch.

After a long break (and an update to our name/badge) we were back in preseason training today. Nothing too strenuous on day 1 but the intensity will gradually increase as we get closer to the start of the season.

End of season night out last night in The Crafty Fox. Player of the year was David McKegney, Players Player of the Year was Mick Clarke and Top Goalscorer was Sean Monaghan. Well done to all the winners.
