"Om gam ganapataye namaha" - The mantra of Ganesha. The chant is magic, I use it so very often.
The translation of it is. more or less, “salutations to the remover of obstacles.”
This is my baby Ganesha, (Little G!), gifted to me at the end of my Yoga Teacher Training.
What can we learn from Ganesha? 🐘✨ The remover of obstacles and the deity of wisdom, has much to teach us in yoga:
Overcome Obstacles - Just as Ganesha clears the path, yoga helps us overcome physical and mental blocks that might sometimes get stuck in our bodies.
Embrace New Beginnings - Ganesha is the lord of new beginnings, reminding us that each practice is a fresh start.
Seek Balance - Ganesha’s large ears remind us to listen more and talk less!
Wisdom - Through yoga, we develop inner wisdom and clarity about ourselves, which can be guided by Ganesha’s teachings.
Embrace these lessons on and off the mat. 🙏🧘♂️
Rest is more important than work. 🌿 Put your feet up and put the kettle on!
In our busy lives, it's easy to forget the value of rest. Taking time to relax, recharge, and simply be is essential for our well-being.
Rest nurtures our mind, body, and spirit, allowing us to return to our work with renewed energy and clarity.
Remember, self-care isn't a luxury—it's a necessity.
Prioritise rest and watch how it transforms your life. 💖
"If you can breathe, you can do yoga." 🌬️🧘♀️
Yoga is for every body, regardless of age, size, or fitness level.
It's about connecting with your breath, finding your inner calm, and embracing your unique journey.
Take a deep breath and join us on the mat. Your practice begins with your breath.

Not sure if my abs hurt from the comp…
Because they’ve been inflated from chucking pasta down my neck…
Or the fact that I’ve absolutely cried laughing for 6 days straight.
🐶 These three are literally the greatest! 👯♂️👯♀️
Back on the mat tomorrow, and I can’t wait to see you there ❤️ 🧘🏼♀️
Why try yoga? 🌟 Well, where do I start?
My classes are full of wonderful people with all different jobs, backgrounds and bodies. They are places where you can be yourself without worry or judgment. The friendships I see formed through yoga are one of the best parts of joining a class.
It strengthens your body, calms your mind, and uplifts your spirit. But the things you'll learn about yourself when on your yoga mat are one of the biggest benefits - reconnecting your body and mind.
Sitting with your thoughts is not easy; it's probably why we don't often do it. My yoga classes give you a safe space to be you, think your thoughts and acknowledge them without judgment.
Whether you're seeking flexibility, stress relief, or a deeper connection with yourself, yoga offers something for everyone.
Join the movement and transform your life from the inside out.

WHERE HAS THE SUMMER GONE?
This weekend in Keswick was EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!
❤️☀️✨🏕️🏃🏼♀️🌳
Next adventure INCOMING!
Are you a planner? Or a winger?
Honestly, I’m a bit of both!
I enjoy the unpredictability of things but also, am annoyed when I get home to find that I inevitably have missed the ‘one thing you MUST do when you visit….’
Truth be told, I often forget to take the meticulously planned guide book with me.
Something you won’t be surprised to hear when you’ve heard me trying to figure out my left and right!
However you choose to do them, make sure your adventures are filled with the things you love.
In my case - 🧀 🍷 🍝
🎶💫 There’s something magical about reconnecting with cherished friends, reminiscing over shared memories, and belting out our favorite tunes.
It’s a reminder of the joy found in simple pleasures and the enduring bonds that uplift our spirits.
Of course so much of our yoga journey is spent alone, going inside.
Making time for those that make us feel like ourselves is so so important.
Let the music and laughter fill your heart with warmth and nostalgia.
Whilst I bust out another Shania Twain banger! 🤣

"Grow beautifully in your own way."
You are not behind; you are just where you are supposed to be.
A lesson I've learned firsthand. Approaching 40, I'm not married, don't own a house, and have no children. It's very easy to feel left behind. Yet, I've realised our journeys are uniquely ours. It's about embracing the path that feels right for us, regardless of societal expectations. 💖
Trust in the rhythm of your journey, honouring the unique path that unfolds before you. Embrace each moment as an opportunity for growth and transformation, knowing that you are exactly where you need to be in this beautiful journey of life.
"Kind thoughts, kind words, kind heart."
🙏✨
The words I use to close our practices together.
A reminder to carry the essence of these words with us into the world.
May we continue to cultivate compassion, generosity, and love, both for ourselves and for others.
Thank you for sharing your practice and energy with me on the mat. I don’t ever take what I do as a job for granted.
I am thankful for each and every one of you.
Namaste. 🌟
If you can't go outside, go inside.
Of course, there's no such thing as not being able to go outside, no matter how wet it gets.
But the temptation with the weather like this, is that we don't do anything at all... and then we feel rubbish. Viscious cycle isn't it.
So while of course, I think you should FIRST go outside. If you really really can't - Go Inside!
🧘♂️💫
Within ourselves lies a sanctuary of peace, wisdom, and serenity waiting to be explored. Embrace this opportunity to connect with your innermost self, finding solace and strength in the depths of your being.
Ok, but will it ever stop raining? ☔️

Stunner of a Weekend in Barcelona.

Threw in a quick* 26.2mile trot around the city whilst I was there!
There’s something I find absolute magic in a marathon. Running in general.
Not only did distance running bring me to yoga.
I find that there’s meditation in the rhythm of your footsteps. Mind and body working as one.
Grateful for this journey of physical and spiritual connection.
