Well done ladies, we love seeing you consistently in our early morning classes improving your strength, flexibility & mobility all before a days work! Well done!
Carving out some 'you time' during the week is beneficial to help you live well and improve both your physical and mental health. 🤍
We all want to achieve a strong body, but there must be a balance between strength and flexibility. Reformer Pilates is the perfect exercise regime to achieve this.
Flexibility ensures a greater range of movement in your joints and will in turn mean your joints remain healthy and fare better against normal wear and tear as they age.
When you achieve good flexibility, your muscles are free from tension, your posture will improve, you will have better blood circulation and your joints stay healthy as you age.
We love seeing pictures of you in the studio... even our instructors😍🤎
Happy 1st year at Rise Emily! 🫶
We love having you on our team!
Starting the day in the best possible way 🧡
Let's talk about footwork...
Footwork is often used as a warm-up exercise in our reformer classes to prepare the body for more advanced movements and to activate the muscles you'll be using during the session. It’s a foundational exercise with many benefits.
Targeting the muscles in your legs, including your quadriceps, hamstrings, and calves. This helps to develop strength, particularly in the lower body.
Footwork exercises emphasize maintaining proper alignment of the pelvis, spine, and legs. This promotes good posture and helps to correct imbalances in the body.
While performing footwork, you must engage your core muscles to stabilise your spine and pelvis which promotes core strength.
In pilates we focus on controlled and precise movements. Footwork teaches you how to move with control, which is a fundamental principle in Pilates. This control can translate into improved coordination and body awareness.
