No word of a lie, I HATED exercise 🫣
I just thought everyone who claimed to like it were basically lying because it sounded good. If someone told me I would become a PT, I would have laughed, a lot 🙈
But now I know, that’s because I was doing it all wrong
🙅♀️I did all the things I though I “should” be doing

Chocolate Protein Pancakes 🥞 🍫
Happy Pancake Day! If you are looking a protein rich delicious recipe that both big people and little people are going to love, why not try this delicious recipe from the App 📱 which is put together by the lovely
Super simple, super delicious 👌
Ingredients:
🍌 2 Bananas (ripe)
🥚 4 Eggs (medium)
🍫 50g Chocolate Protein Powder
🥥 15ml Coconut Oil
Method:
In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Then add in the eggs and protein powder. Mix well until a batter forms.
Melt coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, pour pancake batter into the skillet, about 1/4 cup at a time. Cook each side for about two to three minutes or until browned.

Calling out your own bu****it 🙅🏼♀️
Around 5 weeks ago, just after Christmas I made a decision. I was sick of my own bu****it… and I was calling myself out
I had spent the majority of last year being more up and down the a yo-yo 🪀
From my weight to my mood, 2023 was not the best place in my body and mind. Mostly down to a shed load of chronic pain, but a lot of the ways I had responded to that pain had been slightly self destructive 🍷
But enough was enough. I knew the absolute joy of living life feeling comfortable and strong in your own body and mind and I wanted that feeling BACK 👊
So I’ve made some changes. I’ve stopped drinking, prioritised protein and found ways to adapt exercise around my back injury… and it’s working!
This week it all started to click into place and that sense of peace has resumed 🤘🏼
This is often what happens at this point in a journey, and those shifts don’t come from huge changes in your body, but from within your head. Because when you start to prioritise your health - you start ro respect yourself again 🫶🏻
And once you get momentum on that journey, that’s when the real magic starts setting in 💫
I was lucky that I knew exactly what to do and what mistakes to avoid to get my self back on track. But these are the tools I am so passionate about sharing

I know that for a lot of women right now, January felt like a bit of a false start.
Perhaps you started out all “New Year, New Me” and the curve balls (sickness, dramas etc) got the better of you. Or maybe it’s just that that New Year energy has just worn off now that we are on day 1028 of January, frankly… you just can’t be arsed 🤷🏼♀️

Because the truth is a bad week doesn’t have to been a bad month and a bad month sure as hell doesn’t need to define your 2024 story with health. And the fact is, the more you feed into this all or nothing mindset, the longer you will stay stuck in the cycle of self sabotage - which obviously SUCKS, or you wouldn’t have tried to change anything in the first place right? 🤷🏼♀️
This week I’ve been helping our 30 day challengers navigate the “Week 3 Wobbles”. Week 3 gets a bad rep for a reason, the initial buzz is wavering, those pesky curve balls are coming and unless we push on through it can be the end of the journey. BUT…
Because I know this. I can help them navigate it. A bit like knowing there’s a pothole in road coming up. And this got me thinking…
What if I could build a “Fail proof fitness plan” for members? Almost like a road map, for when the s**t hits the fan?
So… that’s exactly what I’m going to do!

Ok seriously, how ANNOYING are bugs?! 🤒
You find yourself on a roll, gaining momentum and then bam, your woman down and it feels like you are back to square one 🤦🏼♀️ I know SO many of our members are in this boat right now and I also know it’s because so many of us are spinning a million plates and struggling to prioritise ourselves
One of my biggest goals for this year, is to break the cycle when it comes to illness and injury, so today I’ve been on a mission to educate myself 🤓
And whilst these are actually tips I shared on the app the other day when I was naively thinking I wasn’t going down. Today from my sick bed I teamed what I already knew with a masterclass from - and boy oh boy did I learn ALOT from this women! So it just comes to show, we should never stop learning!
So when if actually comes to making CHANGES, I always say to members, don’t try and tackle everything at once or you won’t tackle anything at all, so I would love to know, which one of these do you think you could try to pay more attention to this week?

Well that was more emotional than I thought 🥹! But you know what they say … “you can’t know where you are going, until you know where you have been” and the back story to this membership is at ifs absolute core, it’s my big “why” and the reason I’ll never give up.
I allowed myself to get super vulnerable in this first episode which was both challenging and therapeutic. But I truly believe so much of our strength as women lies when we can let our guards down, so I hope it helps in some small way

Why I’ve gone dry for the foreseeable 😬
Ok, I already feel a little nervous writing the title of this post because I know how emotive this subject is, BUT I need to practice what I preach about public accountability
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a complicated relationship with booze 🥂
I’ve had some pretty fun and wild times with alcohol, I’ve also had some pretty bloody bleak and lonely times. For the past few months, it became apparent I was having more of the latter.
2023 was a spiral of struggling with Alfie’s increasing care needs and those needs leading me having chronic pain issues with my back. Mentally and physically, it was a s**t show.
Without exercise, life felt heavy but also raw, so I reverted back to numbing it all with alcohol. Nothing by an addicts standards, but let’s just say, I’ve never been the girl who can just have the one or stick to the weekends. By Christmas the effects of alcohol on my well-being were painfully clear 🤦🏼♀️
Sometimes, you have just got to call yourself out on your own bu****it. I knew that if I am going to lead this membership from the front and make the vision a reality, the booze had to go 🚮
For the past few weeks, I have felt undeniably better. From stress, sleep, clarity, motivation and more, life just feels easier!
I don’t know where this story ends, maybe my mindset and ability to drink in moderation will change. But either way, I know it’s going to take more than dry Jan for me to figure it out
Ironically, I’m actually writing this from my bed as my backs completely gone again from dressing Alfie 😒 But the difference is this time, I’m not looking to booze to heal the pain, I know I’ve got everything I need right inside me 💫

Ok Instagram, let’s make Alf’s Christmas wish come true 🤞
I know I’ve posted about this before but as you can imagine finding care is an absolute nightmare at the moment. But having seen what a good carer ads to Alfie’s life, we are not giving up!!
We are looking for
• A young (ish) male (Alf is now 14 so this bit is really important to him)
• Able to work week mornings until 9, some afternoons after 3.30 and occasional weekends (we can be flexible for the right person)
• Alfie’s interests are watching basketball and football, clothing, rap, watching films and listening to music on his record player. It would be great to find someone with similar interests
•Alfie is also a budding young actor so someone who is willing to support him with this would be amazing!
• Someone who is willing to give friendship as well as care
We live just outside central Bath and are offering a proper part time job wage. This would work perfectly for someone running their own business or with another part time job
It’s taken a lot for Alex and I to get to this point but we know that this would not only be a great job for someone but this could be life changing for us all

Not just a sign…
3 years ago I sat at my kitchen table and wrote a “business wish list”. On that list was this customised neon sign.
I made a deal with myself, I could get the sign when I had ticked off a few other goals, it couldn’t be that hard could it?! 🤷🏼♀️
Three years, a s**t ton of work and several near break downs later - it’s here!!
The thing about goals, big or small the key is just to NOT GIVE UP
We all have bad days, weeks, even years for Christ’s sake 🫣 but as long as we can hold on and adapt rather than giving up, the dream stays alive 💫
The neon sign is all part of the bigger goal…

The smaller goals all feed into this, they help build the momentum in our movement
Are there going to be more set backs? F**k yes!
Will it stop us?
Hell no
This is what I love about our membership. There’s zero pretence that any of life is easy, but muddle through together and support one another through the good times and the bad
