Do you meditate?

Did you know, by taking just 5 minutes out of your day to turn our awareness within yourself, just to simply to notice the breath and maybe try to control it, has many benefits in day to day life. By focusing on ourselves, concentrating on the breath, switches off the outer senses and the body and mind will switch from the fight or flight side of the nervous system to the papasythetic side of the nervous system, as we transition into a mindful, relaxed state of mind where many health benefits take place such as:

-It helps us control negative emotions
-Helps us to build skills to manage stressful situations more effectively
-Improving sleep quality
-reduces resting blood pressure
-increases the blood flow to the brain and digestive system
-slows the pace of the resting heart rate
-improves our memory and concentration
-increases self awareness helping us to focus on the present
-helps with cell recovery
-strengthens the immune system

Interested in learning more about yoga, the benefits of meditation and breatheork, the philosophy of yoga, alignment in poses and how to use props when practicing. Along with my group classes I already facilitate, I am now offering one to one sessions for people who want to dig a little deeper into yoga as a whole. From help on how to feel for correct alignment when working on poses, improving banalnce and mobility within the body, through to the benefits of practicing yoga in your daily life to help with wellbeing and mental health. Are you interested in trying something new? Or maybe you want to continue on your yoga journey. Yoga can be a fun social exercise and also has many benefits to health and wellbeing. Regular yoga sessions build on strength and balance in the body and mind.

We work on different yoga poses and how to connect them together in a graceful flow and improve breathing techniques, to help still the mind.

I find the most relaxed mindful state in my mind is when I am with nature, nature does not rush but everything is accomplished, its a place with strong oxygen levels, relaxed sounds and soothing smells. Nature is where I learnt how to still my mind.
