RnB and Interlock Dance Company

A huge well done to all of my dancers who participated in the events held at Bishop Luffa this week. As always you danced beautifully and were an absolute delight both on and off stage. A huge recognition has to go to my Wednesday group - who were faced with the ultimate technical hitch ever 🤦🏻‍♀️ - yet continued to dance and perform like it didn’t even phase you. That’s not easy to do and just goes to show what an incredible bunch you really are! Well done for continuing with such professionalism and showing everyone what you are capable of. I have so much love and admiration for that 🥰 Well done to everyone in involved in all performances this week. I have absolutely loved watching you all and it was a privilege to be asked to judge again for your Interhouse dance competition, you should all be very proud of yourselves. Lastly a huge shout out to my “ go to girl” .waldronx for making sure everything went to plan and for always being my biggest support and for always seeing my visions! X

I can’t thank you guys enough for putting on such a fabulous day of performances yesterday. As always, your talent, professionalism, and kindness shone through.

It was amazing to see so many supportive and happy faces in the audience and once again we thank you for being so accommodating with all of the changes we had to make.

A huge thanks to our chaperones and helpers who were there all day to support to us. Our incredible companies who provided us with the most fantastic prizes for our raffle. To the Arena for being such wonderful and supporting hosts. To for providing our sound. To my friends and family who are always there to help. To our leaders, staff and group 7 who are just super stars! And to our dancers who make RnB what it is…

Wow you guys didn’t disappoint! When I mentioned that fancy dress was optional in yesterdays commercial class I couldn’t have imagined the time and effort that was going to go in to these amazing outfits and costumes! You all looked amazing. A huge thanks to all of the amazing families who got these little monsters ready for dance yesterday. I hope you all enjoyed our Halloween themed dance classes 🎃

Did you know that all RnB and Interlock staff, volunteers and dance instructors are fully qualified in first aid and safeguarding? Today we joined the brilliant to conclude our face to face training after an in-depth online training course and test, I’m beyond proud to say all of our members completed the course and passed all assessments. Well done team ❤️

When I say there is NOTHING like the bond and love I have with my dancers, it’s no exaggeration. The friendship which has turned into family with these girls is something I will forever feel grateful for. Today my beautiful group 7 surprised me to a lovely birthday afternoon tea and we had the best time! Thank you girls - for everything ❤️

💫 15 YEARS OF RNB 💫

After 7 anniversary showcases to celebrate this wonderful milestone I’m now done for the summer and finally having time to reflect on this incredible achievement.

RnB has always been a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment which has grown by the hundreds year after year.

I always set goals and limits high but even by my standards - this year, we well and truly smashed it!

Over 450 dancers performed in the month of July on behalf of RnB and Interlock and the showcases we’ve put on will stay with me for a lifetime.

I will take so many special memories and moments away from this years summer showcases but ultimately the mix is a moment I will never forget. To see the past 15 years flash before us resonated with so many and brought back so many beautiful and nostalgic moments.

RnB - you’ve been with me throughout the worst, the best and everything in between, you’ve always been my safe space and my “home”

Thank you to everyone who has been apart of this incredible journey.

Wow!

What a showcase… I can’t put into words how incredibly proud I am of each and every one of you who performed in our 15 year anniversary showcase yesterday.

Putting on these showcases so close to many personal hurdles wasn’t something I made the decision on lightly - ultimately it was a gamble. But my goodness it paid off.

Every piece just looked stunning and you performed so confidently especially in a new performance space for many of you. So well done for getting in there and performing like the true professionals you are.

But… Nothing will compare to the 15 year mix.
Oh my goodness!!!! Thank you all so much for listening to my ideas, trusting me with it, going with it, working so hard to get it right and then absolutely smashing it! You made an 18 year olds dream a 33 year olds reality 💕

Watching all of those mini mixes and listening to songs over the past 15 years brought back so many memories and was just full of nostalgia. To see dancers from past and present join in for this incredible milestone and perform I believe is a moment that will stick with me forever.

Over the years RnB has grown not just in numbers, but in strength, in love and the bond we have created is something that’s instilled you when you come in this dance family. The support and respect you have for the company and each other is something so special.

You have all stepped up in so many ways and have been so incredibly supportive, thoughtful and all round amazing! So…

Last night marked another end of an era for us! Our last ever class at Regis Centre before it’s exciting new renovation. The Regis Centre has become our hub for classes and shows over the past 10 years and we have had the best times in studio 1 and have been blessed to have made friendships for life in that place. We are so excited to return when it’s had its makeover and we are in a brand new studio. Thank you to The Regis Centre for allowing us such a safe, happy and enjoyable dance space. For now it’s “see you soon” and we can’t wait to be back with you already ❤️

Contemporary and Musical Theatre cast 2023 💕💕💕 Oh my goodness….
Words just don’t do justice for what I’m trying to say about yesterday. I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am of every single one of you who participated in yesterdays very special showcase.

All of the pieces were just outstanding, and it’s safe to say yesterday the RnB fusion and musical theatre cast reached a new level of excellence.

The choreography, the costumes, the music - just everything created my vision and it came off perfectly.

Backstage you were all a dream - I lost count of the amount of times your behaviour, your dancing, your manners and support for one another and others in the building were acknowledged so thank you for repping RnB in such an incredible way.

I was truly blown away at what was created yesterday and to think so much of that showcase was created during the darkest times - my goodness you shone!

Thank you for all delivering my choreography to an unbelievable high standard and for trusting me to be your teacher - how lucky am I for that!!

This particular showcase will stay with me forever. It’s a big thing putting your vulnerable, authentic self into the world but I am so glad I did. The messages I’ve received since have made everything so worth while! So thank you all who’ve taken the time to message since yesterday - your feedback and comments are so so appreciated.

Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart. RnB Dance Company is truly a family and school like no other!

RnB Dance Events - St Wilfrid's Hospice Local dance company RnB are putting on some amazing dance performances this month! There are multiple events happening over this month with different performances for you to enjoy. All events are being held at Chichester University and will have donation buckets for people to contribute towards loca...

If your child is joining us in the cluster dance sharing on 22nd/23rd July at six Villages please check your emails as a very important letter has just been sent out regarding all the information and ticket details you will need 💃🏻

Tickets for all showings will go on sale at 9am Monday morning.

Tonight I had the privilege of attending the gala evening Regis Centre to watch the last ever performance at the theatre as we know it. The fabulous put on a fantastic peformance and concluded the evening with a very beautiful song “from now on” which is an extremely special song to me for so many reasons.

Whilst their beautiful voices filled the room I couldn’t help but sit in the auditorium with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes and think back to all of the incredible moments I’ve had in that theatre. All the friendships I’ve made, performances we’ve been involved in and created, people I’ve loved and lost along the way and the students I’ve been blessed to have on that stage dancing on behalf of my company.

Whilst I have no doubt that our beautiful home will come back bigger and better than ever The Regis centre has become our home over the last 15 years and whilst we are still lucky enough to have a few more weeks in our beloved studio, (which I will cherish every second of)
sitting in that theatre knowing it was the last time it would be that familiar space that I have so many special memories in was truly a moment I will never forget.

A status I wish would never come 💔. I am beyond broken to announce the sad passing of the most wonderful and supportive dance dad that there’s ever been “Pete.” Many of you would’ve grown up with his kind words, supportive cheers from side stage and his beautiful smile to greet you. And the thought of that never happening again genuinely hurts beyond more than I could’ve ever imagined. Mum and Dad were our biggest fans and most supportive cheerleaders and they will be missed by everyone who’s ever met them. Dad welcomed in all the dancers as if they were his own and could never walk in to a studio without a line of girls waiting for a special hug! Wow - were those precious. RnB will never be the same without you and I will never forget the encouragement, support, belief and love you showed to not only myself but the thousands of dancers who’ve walked through our doors. You will forever be spoken about, forever remembered and always dancing beside us. Be together again my darlings, and save the last dance for me 💔

PROUD is an understatement! It’s safe to say - every single one of you have made me so incredibly happy and proud of what you’ve achieved over the last two evenings of dance events which have taken place at Bishop Luffa. You all performed with such enthusiasm and energy and your routines looked fabulous. As an audience sometimes it’s underestimated the feelings of nerves and apprehension when walking out on to that stage and I know for some of you it was a really daunting task, but you done it - and you were INCREDIBLE! I received such a lovely message last night saying how lovely it was to be performing whilst seeing me at the back of the audience cheering you on and being an incredible support and your biggest fan, which is absolutely true, I will forever be your biggest cheerleader! But honestly that is nothing in comparison to the joy and happiness you bring me on a weekly basis, you all have my heart! So thank you for being you ❤️💙

I am so incredibly proud of these wonderful dancers who have joined us this term. They have been working so hard and each week it’s been an absolute pleasure to watch their confidence grow. Girls - thank you for always coming in with such enthusiasm and appreciation for our sessions. You have been amazing to teach ❤️

It has been amazing to watch this group grow and develop this past term! They have all improved so much and absolutely love the routines and finishing the sessions with some games and stickers! There is only a couple of spaces available for our summer term of mini movers, so if you’re interested please do get in touch otherwise re-enrolment will not be open again until September.

What a way to finish the term!!! There’s nothing I love more than finishing my week with these guys. We have honestly had such an amazing half term, including lots of dance house performances, workshops, organising trips and fabulous lessons. This week also welcomed our leaders into our curriculum sessions as part of their placement and I have absolutely loved spending the time with you all! Thank you to every single one of you who has joined in a class this term, we hope you have a wonderful break and look forward to seeing you back in class very soon! ❤️

You girls are just EVERYTHING 🔥 Thank you for being the most incredible role models to all of those young dancers in the audience looking up to you all. So much appreciation in the room for you and my goodness was it deserved!! To turn up and perform without even getting a rehearsal beforehand just goes to show what absolute super stars you all are! Thank you forever making me proud and being the best group of girls I could ever wish to teach ❤️

I cannot wait to get back to contemporary dance this evening and start creating more beautiful pieces for our summer showcase. We are super excited to start our new timetable this evening which also includes our junior and senior musical theatre sessions and also our minis commercial class!
