Earth Resonance

Sound and nature are our thing and we LOVE to share our positive vibes.

A beautifully sunny and warm evening in the Yoga Garden yurt at Knepp. The sonic soundscape of summer included the clattering bills of white storks, chirp of crickets, buzz of insects and russling sounds in the long grass. I love hearing the splash and whoop of people as they wild swim and happy voices from the campsite. An altogether magical evening. ✨🌞

The next session is on Saturday the 19th of October when the season will have shifted and changed. The fire will be lit and winter will be circling the canvas. Spaces are limited so to reserve your place please visit .πŸŒ™πŸ”₯

View of Glastonbury Tor. We were lucky enough to stay in a yurt for one night on our way to Cornwall this July. I think I'm definitely a hill person and never tire of these beautiful places. It's a sanctuary within the chaos of modern life. I'm sure many of you agree!

Golitha Falls, River Fowey.

We head out as early as we could and after a visit to The Hurlers ambled along the river. The ancient oaks and beeches of Draynes Wood were stunning in the morning light.Β

We found a beautiful spot where we could lay on the smooth stones and enjoy the flow of the falls. It's energy was strong yet peaceful. For a while all of our worries were carried away. Total peace. We could have stayed there all day.

I enjoyed exploring the landscape and this image is thanks to . As a photographer there are not many pictures of me!

We recently journeyed down to Cornwall for my MA Photography Graduation and spent a few extra days seeking some time and space in nature. One of my absolute favourite places is The Lost Gardens of Heligan in St. Austell. We haven't been there for many years so it felt really lovely to return.

The romantic history of the rise and fall of this Victorian garden fascinates me. It's a story of people dedicated to nature who were deeply impacted by the pain and sorrow of war, eventually leading the gardens being abandoned. Like a secret garden lost to time, it was rediscovered in 1990 and slowly reawakened. It's a truly magical place.

I spent a lovely afternoon collaborating with Lauren Gray with our Floating Sound Journey. The session combined aerial yoga and sound therapy, a magic combination!✨

Afterwards I held a sound bath where we took a deep dive into the resonant tones of gongs, singing bowls and more. ✨

These sessions are held every couple of months at the beautiful Yoga Shed in Wickham. If you fancy coming along, the next opportunity is on the 21st of September for an Autumn Equinox special. You can book my sound bath via my bio and the Floating Sound Journey through Lauren.

Maybe see you there. 😎

It's good to be back! I played my first sound bath in a while and it felt wonderful to hold space once again. It was a hot and energetic evening and the gongs shimmered and roared! Thanks to everyone who came along, it was good to catch up and hear your sound experiences.

Next session at this venue in Eastleigh is on Friday the 20th of September. Maybe see you there.

Quite a while back now I shared an image of our old garden and how over a period of years we transformed it from a relatively lifeless postage stamp area of grass into a mini forest ecosystem. Well, since we have moved house, we now have a bigger challenge on our hands!Β

We are starting, as is the tradition, of taking up the concrete pathways. It's hot and heavy work but feels good to be freeing the earth once more. It's like it can breathe and grow again.Β

Just got to make sure a save enough energy for the sound baths tonight and tomorrow πŸ˜‚.

We were up early this morning and for the first time walked from our new home to St Catherine's Hill. Although we have journeyed here many times, it feels good to be able to walk there. From our street you can see the hill and it's rings and it's a beautiful site. Having had some time away from practicing sound therapy at events, this is just what I needed to renew and remember exactly the feeling I wish to share. It's that feeling of regaining your natural resonance and earth connection. Roll on Friday and Saturday when I return to public practice and sharing some good vibrations once more. βœ¨πŸŒΏπŸ™

I have been looking forward this this for a while! We spent an evening enjoying the music of Nigel Shaw and Carolyn Hillyer at Butser Ancient Farm. I have loved their work for many years and they have inspired my own spiritual practice and the way in which I connect with the land.

Carolyn's songs in the proto-Celtic bone language are deeply moving and always stir something very deep. Having chanted in the roundhouse in many of our own events, it felt exciting to be guided by her wisdom and voice. Her energy and powerful grace, is the energy of change our beautiful world needs.

Nigel's flute playing is always a joy. Until I met him I didn't really believe there was a flute player in me, but since making my own through his skillful and generous guidance, I have played one ever since. His range of instruments and love for them absolutely soared and the sounds clearly loved resonating with the roundhouse. But it's the bone flutes that steal the show for me, they connect me to cave spirit and our ancient ancestors like nothing else.Β

It was also lovely to be with good friends and and if course my beautiful β˜€οΈ

Great to catch up with fellow creatives .healing too, please check out their beautiful work. ✨

Thank you for being amazing as always and creating the space for people to connect in this way. I am forever grateful. πŸ™

Please check out the music and practice of .nigelshaw πŸ’š

So we have finally done it! After 17 years in our family home in Hedge End we have moved to Wi******er. It's been a long and difficult journey but we are feeling pretty settled already. To move from a clean modern house into a 100 year old, tired, dirty and unloved building, seems like madness but we have listened with our hearts and kept the faith that this is the right thing to do.Β

I have kept in mind the wise words of the IChing that when something no longer supports you, be brave, push it over and leave. It's a divination tool that doesn't beat around the bush. We have pretty much uprooted everything and stand on the edge of a new beginning.Β

We went for our first walk today and there are some beautiful trees and amazing views. Lots of our neighbours have been really friendly and even given us gifts, something that would never have happened in our old home. Finally, it feels like the right thing to do.

Thank you to everyone who has provided support online and listened to my ramblings. We couldn't have done this without the support of other people.Β

Sound baths will be starting up again soon and I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again.

What a marvelous day at Butser Ancient Farm for the annual Beltane celebration! This year Lucy had a stall alongside our very talented friends which was a lot of fun!

It was a really wonderful event which brought together many voices and collective joy for our beautiful earth. The sun was shining and the drums were loud, spirits were high and the wickerman burned bright and wild!

Having been to this event for many years now, it's so nice to meet up with kindred spirits to celebrate and honour the turning of the year. There was lots of really great music and I got to briefly meet the legend Damh the Bard . The were epic and the drumming from brought the energy and spirit of the time. I could mention so many more talented people!

All in all, it's was AMAZING! Thanks and all the volunteers for doing what you do so well and making this wonderful event a reality.

Such beauty at the Yoga Garden this Saturday night. There is something so profoundly wholesome about experiencing the movement from day to night. I ran two sound baths and watched the sun set and the moon rise. What an honour as always.

The flowers by formed a perfect centrepiece for this ceremony of sound and nature. Surrounded by wild animals from curious rabbits to the graceful gliding of White Storks, the glory of summer rises!

I have a little gap now (for a house move!) until my next event so if you are interested in attending on the 17th of August let me know. I will send you a link when it becomes available.

This image was taken at the last Yoga Garden yurt sound bath and captures the heat of the fire reflected in a large wind gong.Β

Many years ago I heard the 'peak sound' of a gong (the loudest point) described as the Dragon's Breath. For me dragons represent a primal energy and the flow of life. To tune into the sound of the gong and let go into it's powerful vibrations, is to experience the raw substance of being.Β

I will be back at the Yoga Garden this Saturday the 20th of April. I always look forward to the spring sound baths, there is such beauty at Knepp and the surrounding countryside.

Please check for booking (just a few spaces left).

Walking in the footsteps of Gilbert White 🌿. Space has been a real luxury recently and it was lovely to immerse myself in good company and the beautiful hangers and valleys of Selborne. I really feel a very strong connection to this land.

Sound equipment 'clear out sale' starting soon! After 16 years in my current home we are planning on moving. Over this time I have gathered together lots of sound therapy and musical instruments and the time has come for a sort out.

I plan on sharing a list of things and photos on social media soon. This will include things like crystal bowls, singing bowls, drums, tuning forks and the Am drum pictured here.

Initially I would like to start by making it 'collection only' to make things available to local followers and sound therapist friends. If you are interested then please DM me your email address so I can send the list your way. I'm not quite done yet so please be patient as I sort through the beautiful chaos.

Salt House at the Arc in Wi******er. Such a beautifully moving evening of exceptional music. Thank you to for introducing me to this wonderful sound and managing to get tickets. We were at times moved to tears and taken on a journey into a love for the land and need for deeper connection. I also very much enjoyed our front row seats! Please do check out their music and future gigs.

Today was so much fun!! I feel so lucky to have been invited to talk on BBC Radio Solent about Sound Therapy. Since starting my practice back in 2012, it's been wonderful to see the world open up to this type of therapeutic modality.

The team were so friendly and professional, just what you need when it's your first time on the radio. Tom Stroud was really respectful and inquisitive, facilitating the session with such professionalism and care.

I'm so glad I was brave enough to do it and hope it helps to support other sound therapists in their practice too.

Thank you BBC Radio Solent!

You can listen to the recording for the next 30 days.

What a busy weekend it's been! Friday night was my monthly Eastleigh sound bath, Saturday a couple of sound baths at the Yoga Garden followed by a Kirtan and sound bath with Laura Green!

It's been such a whirlwind that I didn't get many photos except at the yurt. It's such a lovely space nestled in the darkness of Knepp.Β

I know not all of my followers are local to me, but if you are near to Hampshire or Sussex feel free to swing by my website for event details (link in bio).
